Senior Conflicts Attorney to join a global law firm's Legal Risk Management team in Chicago. The role focuses on clearance of conflicts of interest, advising on professional responsibility and legal-risk questions, and reviewing and negotiating outside counsel guidelines and client-provided terms.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and resolving conflicts reports, coordinating searches and intake with business lines, assisting with engagement letters and waivers, and advising lawyers across multiple U.S. and international offices. The role will also contribute to ethics best-practice research and undertake special projects for the department.

The position offers a hybrid working arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package, and reports into the Legal Risk Management / Conflicts function.

U.S. law degree and active bar license in good standing
5+ years of experience in conflicts, legal risk management or professional responsibility
Strong knowledge of rules of professional responsibility and conflicts clearance processes
Excellent written and oral communication, strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments
Comfortable working with new software systems and large volumes of information
