Apply in confidence →We are seeking a senior lawyer to join our market-leading Real Estate Investments team in London. This is a senior role for a qualified lawyer with substantial post-qualification experience (typically 6+ years PQE) who is looking to take a lead role in complex, high-value real estate investment and private equity real estate transactions.
You will play a central role in advising many of our most significant clients on sophisticated real estate investment structures, corporate real estate M&A, joint ventures, and strategic asset management matters. Working alongside partners and a talented team of lawyers, you will help drive transactions, develop client relationships, and support the continued growth of the practice.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with strong experience gained within a private equity real estate, corporate real estate, real estate investments, or real estate M&A practice.
- Deep technical expertise in the legal framework and market practice relevant to corporate real estate transactions, ideally gained in a leading private practice environment.
- A strong track record of leading or front-line managing negotiations on share sale and purchase agreements, joint venture arrangements, and related documentation, including experience across a range of structures (corporates, partnerships, JPUTs, and fund/club deals).
- Proven ability to assume full day-to-day responsibility for complex matters, including running conditions precedent processes, overseeing workstreams, managing timetables, and ensuring high-quality delivery with appropriate partner involvement.
- Commercial acumen and sector awareness: the ability to understand clients' investment strategies, risk appetite, and commercial drivers, and to translate that into practical, solutions-focused legal advice.
- Strong client relationship and business development skills: enthusiasm for building and maintaining your own network of contacts, identifying opportunities, and contributing to the team's growth through pitches, know-how, seminars, and client-facing initiatives.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly and succinctly, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Leadership and team skills: self-aware, approachable, and collaborative, able to supervise and mentor others, recognize when colleagues need support, and both deliver and act on constructive feedback.
- A proactive, resilient, and organized approach to managing workload in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
