Join a market-leading energy and infrastructure practice in Melbourne, working on the full lifecycle of corporate transactions including M&A, joint ventures and project development, as well as sector-specific commercial contracts.

In this role, you will collaborate with a national team of lawyers advising private capital and industry clients on the energy transition and electrification. This is an opportunity to gain exceptional industry exposure in a supportive, down-to-earth culture.

Key responsibilities:

Advise on corporate transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including M&A, joint ventures and project development.
Draft and negotiate power purchase and other offtake agreements.
Work closely with partners and collaborate across an integrated national practice.
Deliver technically excellent and commercially sound advice to clients.

Admission to practice as a lawyer in Australia or New Zealand.
2–4 years' experience in a leading corporate M&A practice.
Experience in energy and/or infrastructure sectors is useful but not essential.
Strong academic record and high attention to detail.
Proactive approach and desire to contribute to a leading team.
Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously to tight timeframes.
Genuine passion for M&A and corporate transactions, with a focus on continuous learning.
Innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
