Fox Rothschild Salary 2026: Associate Scale, Bonus and Partner Pay
The last fully published partner cell is $1,109,000 PEP for fiscal 2024, rank 91. The last measured associate first-year is $195,000, from a March 2024 NALP print. A 2026 class-year grid is not public, and the firm is not on the $235,000 match list. Read the dated cells — then match the desk.
Three dated cells. None of them is the Am Law average.
Philadelphia is the head-office city on a 31-office platform, after Fox Rothschild opened Fort Lauderdale in July 2026. Sartori maps about 7,500 lawyers in that market. The paycheck is not set off that one cell, and it is not set off profits-per-equity-partner rank.
The 2025 Am Law 100 ranked Fox 72nd by FY2024 gross revenue and 91st by profits per equity partner. A general counsel who prices a Fox-trained hire off the league’s average PEP is reading the wrong column. Rank is not a paycheck.
Four dated reads. None of them is a guessed 2026 first-year. Every public cell is cited below.
- $1,109,000
- FY2024 profits per equity partner — PEP rank 91 on the 2025 Am Law 100, covering fiscal 2024.
- ALM / The American Lawyer, 17 April 2025
- $773 million
- FY2024 gross revenue — revenue rank 72, 934 lawyers, 228 equity partners.
- ALM / The American Lawyer, 15 April 2025
- $3.59 million
- Am Law 100 average PEP for fiscal 2025 — the league-table cell that does not describe this firm.
- David Lat / Original Jurisdiction, 30 April 2026
- +8.1%
- FY2025 gross-revenue growth on rate hikes and realization, with demand described as steady. No 2025 PEP dollar is in the public lead.

That mapping is coverage of the head-office market, not a Fox headcount. We have worked this market for eight years on the associate line. The public cells above are the ones a chief legal officer can take to a compensation committee; everything else on this page either cites a dated source or is labeled as unpublished.
What a Fox Rothschild salary actually is in 2026
The associate figure is a 2024 vintage plus a 2025 raise of unpublished dollars, then a documented non-match to the 2026 lockstep. That is the public record. It is not a class-year ladder.
Start with the last press-reported band. On 4 March 2024, Above the Law wrote that Fox associate salaries ranged from $160,000 to $260,000 depending on office, and that NALP listed the firm’s first-year salaries at $195,000. That item is sourced journalism from firm insiders, not a firm memorandum, and it is not a 2026 grid. It is the last measured office-by-office band in the legal press. Treat it as a vintage, not as this year’s offer letter.
The next dated event is a raise without dollars. The Legal Intelligencer, on 4 April 2025, recorded that the firm increased starting salaries for associates after what it described as a comprehensive national analysis of what associates were being paid in its markets, and that it aimed to sit within a standard deviation of those markets. No new first-year dollar, no office grid, and no bonus memo was printed. A 2026 Fox first-year or class-year scale is therefore not public. The honest sentence for a general counsel and for the associate reading the same page is that the 2025 increase happened and the dollars did not ship with it.
The 2026 lockstep that Fox is not on is public, and it belongs here only as contrast. Milbank’s memorandum to associates dated 2 June 2026, hosted by Above the Law, raised bases effective 1 July 2026 to $235,000 for the classes of 2026 and 2025, stepping to $455,000 for the class of 2018. Bloomberg Law, on 17 June 2026, restated the same $235,000–$455,000 ladder and noted that of about 15 firms that had announced raises that month, only five sat among the 100 highest-grossing firms. Above the Law’s Associate Compensation Scorecard, first published 5 June 2026 and still listing matches through 31 August 2026, does not include Fox Rothschild. Offers dated after 1 July 2026 cannot be priced as if the firm had matched.
Fox office-base floor, as of March 2024
Above the Law, 4 March 2024: associate salaries ranged from $160,000 to $260,000 depending on office. Not a 2026 grid.
Above the Law, 4 March 2024 ↗NALP’s 2025 U.S. Associate Salary Survey, as of 1 January 2025, is the market frame around those cells, not a Fox scale. The overall median first-year base was $200,000 across 359 offices. At firms of 701 or more lawyers — 152 offices — the median was $215,000, and the modal first-year of $225,000 appeared at 44.7 percent of those offices, not a majority. Philadelphia is not among the NALP cities where at least half of reporting offices paid $225,000; the city-share bars below carry the rest of that geography. The 701+ class-year medians as of the same date ran first-year $215,000, second $225,000, third $250,000, fourth $291,250, fifth $315,000, sixth $340,000, seventh $360,000, eighth $375,000 — against the then-in-force lockstep top of $435,000. Summer associates in 701+ firms were at $4,100 a week. Intellectual-property first-year median across all firm sizes was $225,000. That ladder is the large-firm market around Fox, not a Fox grid, and it is why a single national scale is the wrong read of this platform.
Bonus dollars are the other unpublished cell. The March 2024 Above the Law item described an hours-based bonus that, versus then-prevailing Milbank/Cravath year-end bonuses, only put first-years ahead at 2,025 or more hours, second-years at 2,100 or more, and third-years at 2,275 or more. The dollar cells of Fox’s bonus table were not in the HTML. No 2025 or 2026 year-end or special-bonus memorandum is public as of 11 September 2026. The firm’s own compensation-and-benefits attorney page exists; the dollars did not render when accessed. BTI’s 2026 Associate Satisfaction A-Listers named Fox a “Leader” for law firms with the best-paid associates (top 8 percent), from more than 5,000 associate responses. That is a survey rank, not a substitute for a scale.
A 2026 Fox class-year scale is not public.
PEP rank 91 is not a draw, and it is not the Am Law average.
The partner figure that is actually public is profits per equity partner for fiscal 2024, sitting nineteen ranks below the firm's revenue league. Fiscal 2025 moved on rates and an equity-to-nonequity shift. A 2025 PEP dollar is not in the public lead.
W-2 associate baseEquity PEP average
- Associate base and bonus A W-2 paycheck, office-celled, hours-gated on bonus. The 2026 class-year grid is not public; the last measured band is a 2024 vintage.
- Nonequity / income partner The tier that grew in 2025 as aging partners sold equity. A leverage story, not a PEP-league story. Individual draws are not public.
- Equity PEP An average over the equity partnership, printed by ALM. It is not a lockstep, not a draw schedule, and not the $3.59 million Am Law 100 average.
The 2025 Am Law 100 profits-per-equity-partner ranking, published 17 April 2025, listed Fox at PEP rank 91, 228 equity partners, PEP $1,109,000, and PEP change +25.03 percent. The Legal Intelligencer’s 4 April 2025 preview rounded the same PEP to $1.1 million and reported net income $252.7 million, both up more than 20 percent year over year, with rate increases of around 10 percent. That same preview put head count at about 933 attorneys (+1.28 percent), overall partnership at 342 (−1.4 percent), nonequity/income partners at 114 (−5.5 percent), and equity at 227.8 FTE (up two attorneys). The gross-revenue table published 15 April 2025 put the same year at $773 million, rank 72 (prior-year rank 70), 934 lawyers, and +11.27 percent year over year. Band lawyer headcount at year-end 2024 at about 930–940. Revenue league and PEP league are not the same column. A general counsel matching a Fox-trained hire off rank 72 will overpay relative to rank 91; matching off the $3.59 million Am Law 100 average will overpay relative to both.
That PEP number sits on a published capital series, so 2024 is not a one-year spike. The Legal Intelligencer on 5 April 2024 put FY2023 gross revenue at $694.7 million (+4 percent), net income slightly over $200 million (−4.2 percent), and PEP at $887,000 (+4.5 percent) after the equity partnership contracted by about 20 lawyers (a little over 8 percent) on retirements, with nonequity up 7.2 percent (eight lawyers). On 17 April 2023 the same paper put FY2022 gross revenue at $676 million (+4.3 percent), lawyers at 910 (from 882), revenue per lawyer at $742,857 (+1.1 percent), net income at $214 million (−1.7 percent), equity partners at 246, and PEP at $869,918 (−4.6 percent). Above the Law’s 4 March 2024 item cited a then-current Am Law print of FY2022 gross revenue $668,015,000 and rank 71 — a different vintage of the same year. Do not average the two.
Fiscal 2025 is a growth rate without a new PEP dollar. Law.com / The American Lawyer, on 13 April 2026, reported that Fox saw 8.1 percent growth in gross revenue in 2025 through rate hikes and realization as demand remained steady, and that aging partners were required to sell equity and move into the nonequity tier, which grew substantially. The public lead does not print a 2025 PEP dollar or a 2025 gross-revenue dollar. Do not compute either from 8.1 percent applied to $773 million. David Lat’s 30 April 2026 write-up of the 2026 Am Law 100 (fiscal 2025) put Am Law 100 average PEP at $3.59 million, up 14.0 percent, with average RPL $1.39 million and cohort gross revenue $178.95 billion; nonequity partner ranks grew about 7 percent against about 2 percent equity growth and 4 percent headcount growth. Fox’s last published PEP already sat far below that average. The Legal Intelligencer, on 16 April 2026, put FY2025 gross-revenue growth at Pennsylvania-based Am Law 100 firms between 3 percent and 15 percent; Fox’s 8.1 percent sits inside that band.
| Year | Gross revenue | Revenue rank | PEP | PEP rank | Equity partners | Lawyers |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FY2022 | $676 million | — | $869,918 | — | 246 | 910 |
| FY2023 | $694.7 million | — | $887,000 | — | contracted ~20 | — |
| FY2024 | $773 million | 72 | $1,109,000 | 91 | 228 | 934 |
| FY2025 | +8.1% (dollar not public) | — | not in the public lead | — | sold into nonequity | ~1,000 (firm-stated) |
FY2022 revenue in this table is the Legal Intelligencer’s 17 April 2023 figure of $676 million, not the $668,015,000 Am Law vintage cited by Above the Law on 4 March 2024. They are two prints of the same year. PEP for FY2025 is blank because it is blank in the public lead.
The matching figure sits with a general counsel, not on a league table.
The employer of record is the law firm. The people who pay the equivalent are in-house: they buy the Fox desk as outside counsel, or they hire the Fox-trained lawyer onto the company payroll. Those are two different checks.
Chambers USA 2026 — content provided by the firm — described about 1,000 attorneys, 30 offices, and a Philadelphia head office, with 56 ranked departments and 120 ranked individuals. Firm careers copy in 2026 stated a nationwide network of 1,000 attorneys and more than 70 practice areas. ALM’s 2025 Am Law 100 print still sat at 934 lawyers at year-end 2024. The Fort Lauderdale opening, announced 6 July 2026 for an August start, took the count to 31 locations and 49 Florida attorneys across Miami, West Palm Beach, Sarasota and Fort Lauderdale. Band the 2026 lawyer headcount at about 900–1,000. The associate or partner who earns the figure sits on this platform, not in a single Philadelphia lockstep cell.
Who writes the check that matches it. Chambers Corporate/M&A (South Carolina, 2026) and Corporate/M&A & Private Equity (Pennsylvania: Philadelphia & Surrounds, Band 4, 2026) both carry firm copy of more than 200 corporate attorneys serving as outside counsel to large publicly traded companies, handling acquisitions and divestitures for hundreds of middle-market companies, and acting as many clients’ primary strategic legal adviser on day-to-day operations, capital, joint ventures, governance, finance and regulatory matters. Client types named in that copy: Fortune 500 companies, family-run businesses, tech startups, major insurers, med-tech, entertainment. That is a firm-side seat that substitutes for or sits beside an in-house general counsel, not an in-house W-2 role. The Philadelphia corporate/PE desk is Band 4 after eight years ranked — middle-market PE, healthcare, consumer products and financial services, not an elite M&A PEP cell. Best Law Firms United States 2026 listed the platform with 29 national rankings, including National Tier 1 in Employment Law — Management, Labor Law — Management, Litigation — Labor and Employment, Real Estate Law, Health Care Law, Construction Law, Commercial Litigation, Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights, Franchise Law, Tax Law, and Trusts and Estates, and National Tier 2 in Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law. New York City Tier 1 included Employment Law — Management and Leisure and Hospitality Law. Those are directory ranks, not open requisitions, but they name the desks a head of legal would staff or buy.
The labor desk names the employer-side buyer more sharply. Chambers USA 2026 Labor & Employment — New Jersey Band 2 — cites Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller organizations on collective and class actions, pension and benefit funds, wage-and-hour, traditional labor and compliance counseling. Pennsylvania Labor & Employment Band 4 adds discrimination and retaliation litigation plus advice and training, with a work highlight in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. New York Labor & Employment is regularly instructed by clients in the hospitality industry and lists a Fair Labor Standards Act class-action work highlight. The buyer of that desk is an employer-side company or a hospitality group, not a plaintiff shop. Healthcare Highly Regarded Nationwide is Band 1 (six years ranked), with state bands in North Carolina (1), New Jersey (2), Pennsylvania (2) and New York (5), serving companies that provide, pay for, or supply IT, drugs or devices in health care, plus physicians. Government Contracts Highly Regarded Nationwide is Band 2, with firm copy naming aerospace and defense, construction, health care, IT, manufacturing, professional services and telecommunications, and stating that multiple attorneys hold security clearances. Real Estate in Minnesota (Band 4) names regional and national lenders, insurance companies and institutional investors.

- Outside general counsel The company keeps Fox on a panel or as primary adviser. The figure the GC is matching is a rate and a scope, not a W-2.
- In-house hire from the Fox pool Employment counsel, healthcare regulatory, government contracts, real estate. The figure is a company payroll band priced off the office cell.
- Internal promotion at the company A deputy or specialist already on the payroll. The Fox cell is a market check, not a candidate. Same dated sources, different seat.
Live 2026 hiring on the firm’s own open-positions page concentrated in Labor & Employment (associate and counsel), Intellectual Property (Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, Princeton, Washington, DC), Real Estate, a Fort Lauderdale litigation associate, and a Denver corporate partner seat announced by Law Week Colorado on 18 August 2026 for emerging-growth companies, fund sponsors and closely held businesses. Intellectual-property seats sit behind a USPTO registration gate as well as a state bar: the firm’s patent-agent careers page places those hires inside the Intellectual Property Department. That is a demand map, not a lockstep class. The 24 April 2025 Law360 elevation class ran 29 attorneys to partner across 19 cities and 11 practice groups, plus four associates to counsel. The 29 April 2026 firm announcement ran 19 elevations to partner and seven associates to counsel. amNewYork, on 7 May 2026, confirmed the New York slice: one Labor & Employment partner, one Real Estate / land-use partner, and one Labor & Employment counsel. Mergr’s public advisor profile, accessed 11 September 2026, tagged 66 M&A-team lawyers and 43 recorded transactions (12 buyside, 31 sellside in the displayed history), with 2026 rows in transportation, business services, information technology and internet software. Measure those as Mergr-recorded counts, not a complete deal book. The 2026 summer class, from the firm’s own LinkedIn post, sat across Atlanta, Atlantic City, Bucks County, Chester County, Denver, Greensboro, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Morristown, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Princeton, Raleigh, San Francisco, Seattle and Wilmington, drawing from ABA-accredited schools that included Emory, Pittsburgh, Temple, Drexel, Denver Sturm, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Miami, Minnesota, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Rutgers–Newark, UNC, UC Law San Francisco, GW, Seattle University, Florida State and Duquesne. That pipeline is regional and multi-office, not a single coastal lockstep class. No student is named.
In that same Philadelphia cohort, 61 of 94 in-house hiring managers at middle-market and PE-backed companies over a 24-month window told Sartori they price a Fox-trained employment or corporate lawyer off the last public office cell, not off Am Law PEP. A general counsel at a PE-backed healthcare platform told us they had budgeted the incoming employment counsel against the Am Law 100 PEP average and then lost the candidate to a competing in-house seat that matched the office cell. That is the buyer mistake this page exists to prevent.
Your exposure is a payroll band and a panel rate, not a league rank. The desks a chief legal officer actually buys from this platform are labor, healthcare, government contracts and middle-market corporate — priced by office and by statute, not by PEP.
- Labor and employment. New Jersey Band 2 and New York hospitality FLSA work. The matching in-house seat is employment counsel at a hospital system, insurer, or hospitality operator.
- Healthcare regulatory. Nationwide Highly Regarded Band 1, HIPAA and privacy named in Chambers. The matching seat is counsel at a provider, payor, or med-tech company.
- Government contracts. Nationwide Highly Regarded Band 2, FAR/DFARS, some cleared lawyers. The matching seat is a contractor GC or procurement counsel, often Washington-anchored.
- Middle-market corporate. Philadelphia Band 4. The matching seat is head of legal at a PE-backed or family-run company that has been using Fox as outside general counsel.
Your W-2 is an office cell plus an hours gate. The 2026 class-year grid is not public, and PEP rank 91 is not your bonus.
- Base is office-celled. The last measured range is $160,000 to $260,000 as of March 2024, with a NALP first-year of $195,000. New York and California postings must print location-specific bands.
- Bonus is hours-gated. The last measured crossovers versus then-Cravath were 2,025 / 2,100 / 2,275 hours. Dollar cells were not in the table.
- Partner economics are a mix shift. FY2025 grew on rates while equity was sold into nonequity. A PEP average is not a personal draw.
- The in-house match is the other reader. A hospitality or healthcare general counsel will not pay you as if Fox sat on the Milbank ladder.
Buyers who match this figure price the desk, not the league table.
The 2026 docket that actually prices these desks.
Demand for the lawyers who earn this figure is not a Philadelphia PEP cycle. It is a stack of dated federal and state moves on the desks Fox staffs — labor, healthcare, government contracts, cannabis, and South Florida real estate.
Labor first, because that is where the open-positions page concentrated. The 2024 Department of Labor part 541 overtime rule was vacated nationwide in Texas v. U.S. Department of Labor, 756 F. Supp. 3d 361 (E.D. Tex. 15 November 2024) and in Flint Avenue, LLC v. U.S. Department of Labor (N.D. Tex. 30 December 2024). The Fifth Circuit dismissed the appeals on 5 and 7 May 2026. The Wage and Hour Division technical amendment, 91 FR 27833, effective 15 May 2026, removes the 2024 text and republishes the 2019 rule: $684 per week ($35,568) standard salary level and $107,432 highly compensated employee threshold. A wave of exemption-reclassification projects is off the federal books; remaining work is state-law overlays, misclassification litigation, and counseling on the restored duties test. Hospitality joint-employer overtime is still live: Wage and Hour Division Opinion Letter FLSA 2025-05, dated 30 September 2025, treats a restaurant and a members club inside a hotel with common ownership, a shared kitchen and interchangeable shifts as horizontal joint employers whose hours must be aggregated. That letter is an official Portal-to-Portal Act ruling, and it sits on the same New York labor desk Chambers describes as regularly instructed by hospitality clients.
Healthcare and government contracts share a statute. The Department of Justice, on 16 January 2026, reported False Claims Act settlements and judgments exceeding $6.8 billion in the fiscal year ending 30 September 2025, the highest year on record, with 1,297 qui tam lawsuits (prior record 980 in 2024), 401 government-opened investigations, and more than $5.7 billion from matters involving the health care industry. HHS Office for Civil Rights, on 23 April 2026, announced four ransomware settlements totaling $1,165,000 covering more than 427,000 individuals, with 19 completed ransomware investigations and 13 Risk Analysis Initiative investigations. One settling provider network operates in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky — Fox’s healthcare Band 2 states include New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The HIPAA Security Rule at 45 CFR Parts 160 and 164 remains the operative standard; a proposed strengthening dated 6 January 2025 is still a proposal. On the contracts side, the Comptroller General’s FY2025 bid-protest report (GAO-26-900695), dated 12 December 2025, recorded 1,688 cases filed (down 6 percent from 1,803), a 14 percent sustain rate, and a 52 percent effectiveness rate. Fox’s own government-contracts desk reprinted those statistics on 19 December 2025. Structural demand for FAR-fluent, often-cleared lawyers is intact even as filings dip.
Two 2026 platform facts sit beside those dockets. DOJ and DEA, with a Federal Register rule effective 28 April 2026 (91 FR 22714), placed FDA-approved marijuana products and marijuana under a qualifying state medical-marijuana license in Schedule III. Adult-use and recreational marijuana remains Schedule I; synthetically derived THC remains Schedule I. The FR text states that qualifying state medical licensees will no longer be subject to the deduction disallowance imposed by Section 280E; retrospective Treasury relief is encouragement, not an IRS rule. Chambers USA 2026 ranks Fox Cannabis Law Nationwide Band 1. And South Florida is a construction and investment-sales market the new Fort Lauderdale office is built against: The Real Deal, on 11 August 2026, reporting Avison Young H1 2026 figures, put tri-county deal volume at $9.3 billion (+19 percent), industrial at $3.3 billion across 193 deals (+130.5 percent), and multifamily at about $2.5 billion (+19.4 percent), with a CoStar-cited pipeline of 28,000 multifamily units still under construction. FTL Review, on 1 September 2026, described the new office as handling corporate transactions and litigation connected to real estate, construction, health care and financial services.

Office cell, desk, and a nine-day clock.
Sartori has worked the Philadelphia associate market for eight years. Over the trailing three years we closed 23 associate searches at a 93 percent completion rate, on a typical 6-to-12-week timeline, with a 33 percent counter-offer incidence and a median of nine working days from offer to acceptance.
Of those 23 closed Philadelphia associate searches over three years, 14 were labor-and-employment, intellectual-property, or real-estate mid-level seats (years 3–6) — the same desks the firm’s 2026 open-positions page was still staffing. Eleven of the 23 were for company legal departments hiring from the Fox-trained pool; twelve were firm-side associate seats. The split is the dual reader on this page: a head of legal matching an incoming employment counsel, and a firm hiring a mid-level onto the same platform.
One finding does not flatter the method. Of the 23 closed files, 6 stalled past twelve weeks because the buyer tried to map the candidate onto a lockstep grid Fox does not publish. We now brief that risk at intake rather than after the first declined offer. A head of legal at a hospitality operator told us they would not pay a Fox New York labor associate as if the firm sat on the Milbank ladder, and they would not pay a Philadelphia corporate associate as if PEP were $3.59 million. That is the testimony the six stalled files were missing at the start.
Pay-transparency statutes now force the office cell into the posting itself. New York Labor Law § 194-b, as summarized in the State Department of Labor fact sheet P687 (September 2023), has required since 17 September 2023 that private employers with four or more employees include a good-faith minimum and maximum pay range on advertised jobs, promotions and transfers performed at least in part in New York, or reporting to a New York supervisor or office, including remote roles that report into New York. Multi-location postings need a separate range per location. California SB 642, chaptered 8 October 2025, amends Labor Code § 432.3 so “pay scale” means a good-faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage range the employer reasonably expects to pay upon hire; the National Law Review, on 28 January 2026, dated the posting-definition change as effective 1 January 2026. A single national Fox scale is the opposite of what those statutes require. The live artifact, when it exists, is the location-specific range on the employer’s own posting — not a job board, and not PEP rank 91.
Two composite searches
A PE-backed healthcare platform asked us to hire an employment counsel out of a Fox-trained pool and had budgeted the seat against the Am Law 100 PEP average. The first shortlist declined. We reset the band to the last public office cell and to the hospital-system employment-counsel market, and the search closed in the tenth week — inside the 6-to-12-week envelope, after a counter-offer the company matched. No firm, company or candidate is named; the numbers sit inside the 23-file telemetry.
A hospitality operator with New York and New Jersey properties needed wage-and-hour counsel after FLSA 2025-05 landed on a shared-kitchen structure. The company wanted a Fox New York labor associate and tried to price the in-house seat off the Milbank first-year. We refused that frame. The offer that signed, in nine working days, was an office-celled band with a hours-expectation conversation rather than a lockstep match. Same envelope: associate line, Philadelphia desk covering a multi-office platform, 33 percent counter-offer incidence on the line as a whole.
The service view of the company-side book is our in-house counsel recruiting practice. Firm-side associate seats sit on associate recruiting. Neither page is a substitute for the dated cells above. The 2026 lockstep scale is the ladder this firm has not publicly matched; the general counsel salary benchmark is what the in-house matching seat looks like by company stage.
Fox Rothschild compensation: questions from both sides of the figure
What is a Fox Rothschild salary in 2026?
The last fully published partner cell is $1,109,000 PEP for FY2024, rank 91 on the 2025 Am Law 100. A 2026 associate class-year scale is not public: the last press-reported first-year figure is $195,000 from NALP, as Above the Law reported on 4 March 2024, with office bases then ranging $160,000 to $260,000. The Legal Intelligencer recorded a starting-salary increase on 4 April 2025 after a national market analysis, without printing a new grid. Do not price the seat off the $3.59 million Am Law 100 average PEP that David Lat reported for fiscal 2025, and do not price it off the Milbank $235,000–$455,000 ladder that Fox has not publicly matched.
What do Fox Rothschild associates earn in 2026?
A 2026 Fox class-year scale is not public. The last measured first-year figure in the legal press is $195,000 (NALP, via Above the Law, 4 March 2024), and office bases in that item ranged $160,000 to $260,000. The firm increased starting salaries in the 2024–25 cycle, per the Legal Intelligencer on 4 April 2025, aiming to sit within a standard deviation of its markets — still without publishing dollars. Above the Law's 2026 associate-compensation scorecard, through 31 August 2026, does not list Fox among firms matching $235,000. Bonus dollars for 2025 or 2026 were not in any memo; the 2024 item described hours thresholds of 2,025, 2,100 and 2,275 against then-prevailing Cravath year-end bonuses.
What is Fox Rothschild partner pay — PEP versus draw?
FY2024 profits per equity partner were $1,109,000, per the 2025 Am Law 100 PEP ranking published 17 April 2025, after a 25.03 percent year-over-year rise. That is PEP, an average over 228 equity partners, not a draw schedule. A FY2025 PEP dollar was not in the 13 April 2026 Law.com lead, which reported 8.1 percent revenue growth on rates while aging partners sold equity into a growing nonequity tier. Individual partner compensation is not public.
Did Fox Rothschild match the 2026 $235,000 associate scale?
No public match appears on Above the Law's 2026 scorecard through 31 August 2026. Milbank's memorandum dated 2 June 2026 raised bases to $235,000 through $455,000 effective 1 July 2026. Bloomberg Law, on 17 June 2026, noted that of about 15 early adopters that month, only five sat among the 100 highest-grossing firms. Fox was not on the running match table. Offers dated after 1 July 2026 cannot be priced as if the firm had matched.
How should a general counsel match a Fox-trained hire?
Price the office cell and the desk — labor, healthcare, government contracts, real estate — not Am Law PEP. Sartori closed 23 Philadelphia associate searches over three years on a typical 6-to-12-week clock, with a 33 percent counter-offer rate and a nine-working-day median from offer to acceptance. New York Labor Law § 194-b and California SB 642 force location-specific ranges onto advertised seats, which is the opposite of a national lockstep. A chief legal officer matching a Fox New York labor associate is not matching a Philadelphia corporate associate, and neither is matching the $3.59 million PEP average.
Are Fox Rothschild bonuses published for 2026?
No 2026 year-end or special-bonus memo is public as of 11 September 2026. The 4 March 2024 Above the Law item described an hours-based bonus that, versus then-prevailing Milbank/Cravath year-end bonuses, only put first-years ahead at 2,025 or more hours, second-years at 2,100 or more, and third-years at 2,275 or more. The dollar cells of that table were not in the HTML. Treat bonus dollars as unpublished; treat those hour gates as the last measured instrument.
ALM tables, NALP medians, firm memos, and the dockets that price the desk.
Associate and partner dollars come from ALM, the Legal Intelligencer, Above the Law, NALP and the Milbank memorandum. Buyer desks come from Chambers USA 2026 and the firm's own careers pages. Demand figures come from DOL, HHS, DOJ, GAO and the Federal Register.

FY2025 Fox revenue and PEP dollars are absent because they are absent from the 13 April 2026 Law.com lead; 8.1 percent is a growth rate, not a license to compute a dollar. The March 2024 associate band is a press vintage, not a 2026 grid. Bonus dollar cells were not in the HTML. Chambers USA 2026 lawyer and office counts are firm-stated. Mergr transaction counts are the public profile, not a complete deal book. BTI's top-8-percent tag is a survey rank, not compensation.
Our own numbers — the Philadelphia interview cohort, the 23 closed associate searches, the 33 percent counter-offer incidence and the nine-working-day offer-to-acceptance window — come from the continuous research program described on our research page. Quarterly survey waves have run since 2019. Global mapping coverage is about 1.5 million lawyer profiles.
