Posted office cash, not a lockstep: Greenberg Traurig in 2026
On 28 August 2026, Greenberg Traurig posted a New Jersey litigation associate at $200,000 to $235,000. The same season, Austin and Orlando ads carried no dollar at all. This page is that posted cash, the market perimeter around it, and the general counsel who pays the rate.
One firm, several paychecks, no published grid.
Miami's founding office employs more than 200 attorneys. A general counsel searching Greenberg Traurig salary in 2026 is not looking at a class-year grid. Sartori's Miami interview cohort (250 structured interviews) shows in-house buyers asking for an office-priced hour they can take to a compensation committee, not a lockstep they can paste.

Those four numbers are expected-pay on named ads, not a lockstep. Austin, Orlando, Dallas and London ads accessed in the same weeks omit a dollar. The full inventory is below.

Two people read this page. The associate or shareholder who earns the figure wants to know whether a named office posted a number, and what the market around that office will pay to hire them away. The general counsel, chief legal officer or head of legal who pays the figure wants to know what that W-2 implies for the billed rate, and whether the seat they are buying is a New Jersey range they can see or an Orlando silence they cannot. Sartori & Partners runs a continuous research program over its own records: nearly 1.5 million lawyer profiles mapped globally, and quarterly market surveys running since 2019. This page’s local work is the Miami associate desk and the 2026 Greenberg Traurig public record.
A company compensation committee that pastes the Milbank ladder into a Greenberg Traurig budget is pricing the wrong instrument. A candidate who treats an Orlando silence as a secret lockstep is guessing. The public record is the posting, the statute that forced some dollars onto the ad, the LCA for a named worker, and the rate the client already pays.
The 2026 Greenberg Traurig salary is a posting, not a scale.
Greenberg Traurig associate salary in 2026 is the dollar on a named Workday advertisement — or the absence of one. The inventory below is the live demand surface, not a Chambers ranking.
We have worked the Miami associate market for eight years, for companies and firms in real estate, financial services, healthcare and public finance. Over the trailing three years Sartori’s Miami mandate telemetry records 23 closed associate searches at a 93 percent completion rate, on a typical 6 to 12 week timeline, with a median 12 working days from offer to signature and a 33 percent counter-offer incidence. They are not a Greenberg Traurig payroll file.
Of those 23 closed searches, 14 were years-3-to-6 laterals — the same mid-level band the 2026 Workday ads actually open — and 6 were years 1 to 4; the remaining 3 were years 7 and senior. A first-year Miami corporate class-year posting was not among the open Workday URLs. Junior U.S. hiring visible here is 2-to-4-year litigation and 3-to-5-year lending, plus the Resident Attorney path described on the firm’s own careers page.
The decoder holds the four ranged tops. The table is the rest of the set: four ads with a dollar, four without, each with a bar or admission gate and a date. Austin (9 September 2026), Orlando (19 August 2026) and Dallas (21 August 2026) omit a range in the posting text. The Long Island senior real-estate band, posted 4 September 2026, is $200,000 wide — the shape of a seniority-and-book conversation, not a class year. A general counsel reading that row is not looking at a lockstep. A candidate reading it is not looking at one either.
| Seat | Office | Years | Bar / admission | Posted cash | Posted |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Litigation associate | Florham Park, N.J. | 2-4 | New Jersey Bar or eligibility | $200,000-$235,000 | 28 Aug 2026 |
| Real-estate lending associate | New York and Charlotte | 3-5 | NY or NC Bar (or NC waiver) | $310,000-$365,000 | 2 Sep 2026 |
| Senior real-estate associate | Long Island / Nassau | 10+ | New York Bar | $200,000-$400,000 | 4 Sep 2026 |
| Senior corporate associate | San Francisco | 6+ | California Bar | $390,000-$410,000 | 26 Aug 2026 |
| Junior litigation associate | Austin | 2-4 | Texas Bar | Not posted | 9 Sep 2026 |
| Senior real-estate associate | Orlando | 6+ | Florida desk | Not posted | 19 Aug 2026 |
| Corporate M&A associate | Dallas / Texas | 4th-6th year | Texas Bar | Not posted | 21 Aug 2026 |
| White-collar / financial crime | London | 3-6 PQE | England, Australia or New Zealand | Not posted | 28 Aug 2026 |
Federal clerkship is preferred on the New Jersey litigation seat. Long Island requires residence on the island. London white-collar asks for a City, Magic Circle or comparable international firm and a 2:1. These are gates, not prestige adjectives.
A dollar on the adA lockstep for the firm
- Posted office cash A good-faith range on a named advertisement, forced by a pay-transparency statute or offered by the firm. This is the 2026 evidence that actually exists.
- Unposted laterals The same employer, a different state, no number in the posting text. Florida and Texas laterals in this set still hire without a published band.
- A firmwide scale A class-year grid the market can match. That instrument is not in the Greenberg Traurig record for 2026.
Posted class-year money in some offices, not a single lockstep everywhere.
The market reset around the seat — and what Greenberg Traurig PEP is not.
The lockstep the market quotes is a different instrument. Treat it as the perimeter a Miami, New York or San Francisco associate is measured against, not as this firm's published grid.
Bloomberg Law reported on 2 June 2026 that Milbank’s associate pay scale would range from $235,000 to $455,000, effective 1 July 2026, and that McDermott matched. Above the Law’s matcher table, published 5 June 2026 and updated through late August 2026 on the same URL, does not name Greenberg Traurig. That absence is a reading of a running list, not a memo from the firm. The full class-year ladder belongs to our market-scale page, not here.
Posted class-year money in some offices, not a single lockstep everywhere: the New Jersey 2-to-4-year band tops at the July 2026 first-year market floor of $235,000 (Bloomberg Law, 2 June 2026). The San Francisco senior corporate top of $410,000 sits inside that perimeter, $45,000 below the eighth-year ceiling. That is a derived reading of two public instruments sitting next to each other. It is not proof that Greenberg Traurig matched.
Certified Labor Condition Applications make the same point with a different instrument. Ellis’s indexer of Department of Labor OFLC filings, last updated April 2026, shows a New York Law Clerk/JD wage of $235,000 filed 17 June 2026, 9 June 2026 and 21 April 2026, and a Washington, D.C. Law Clerk/JD wage of $225,000 filed 21 April 2026. Same title family, same week, a $10,000 city gap. A New York Associate Attorney wage of $450,000 was certified 9 June 2026 and 5 May 2026. A Florham Park associate LCA at $140,000, filed 19 March 2025 and carried on h1bdata.info, is a different seat and date from the August 2026 New Jersey litigation posting; they are not a contradiction to average. LCA samples are tens of filings, not a 3,000-lawyer census.
Market first-year floor
Milbank scale effective 1 July 2026, announced 2 June 2026. The New Jersey posted band tops at this floor; that is coincidence of two public numbers, not a match memo.
Bloomberg Law, 2 June 2026 ↗A general counsel who is asked to “match PEP” is being handed the wrong lever. The PEP on the grid above is an equity-owner average; net income was reported up 9.80 percent in the same 26 February 2026 American Lawyer interview, and equity-partner headcount was held steady. It is not what a Florham Park fourth-year takes home, and it is not a nonequity figure. Legal Cheek’s sterling conversion of £2,200,000 is the same PEP, not a separate UK partnership account. Finalized 2026 Am Law 100 rank, RPL and PPP line items were not retrieved for this page.
For the in-house reader, the perimeter still matters. A New York lending associate posted at $310,000 to $365,000 is being hired into a market that just printed a $235,000 first-year floor. If that lawyer laterals to a matcher-table firm, the W-2 conversation changes. The rate the general counsel already pays does not automatically follow them. Budget the hour you are buying, not the scale you wish the firm had published.
The lawyer earns a W-2. The general counsel pays a rate.
The person who earns the 2026 figure sits on Greenberg Traurig's payroll. The person who pays it is a chief legal officer, general counsel or head of legal at the client — plus PE sponsors, banks and public issuers.
In that Miami interview cohort, 64 of 81 in-house buyers — general counsel, chief legal officers, and heads of legal at companies that buy Florida Am Law 20 time — over a 24-month window told Sartori they price this platform as a billed-rate decision, not against their own in-house lockstep. The remaining 17 of that 81 still asked for a class-year number they could paste into a board paper. A general counsel at a Florida real-estate developer with revenue above $1 billion put it without decoration: the question is never what the associate makes. The question is what this office bills, at this seniority, on this matter.
The firm told the American Lawyer on 26 February 2026 that billing rates rose 7 to 9 percent in 2025, with a larger increase anticipated for 2026. Associate salary is a cost inside that rate. A general counsel matches a billed rate, not an in-house lockstep. The leased footprint, about 1.7 million square feet, was held flat in the same interview; the executive chairman questioned large New York leases when talking about AI and technology. That is a cost-control signal on occupancy, not an associate-scale memo.
BTI Consulting Group’s 2025 Most Recommended list, announced by the firm on 30 April 2025, put Greenberg Traurig among 23 firms most recommended by general counsel. The survey ran June to December 2024, more than 500 corporate legal decision-makers, at organizations with revenues of $1 billion or more. Titles in that universe: chief legal officers, general counsel, deputy general counsel, associate general counsel, vice presidents of legal, and senior counsel. The share of decision-makers willing to recommend their primary outside counsel to peers fell from 69 percent four years earlier to less than 28 percent. Industry marks for the firm: banking, financial services, food and agritech, oil and gas, and pharma, with additional recommendation in high-tech and professional services. BTI’s Client Service A-Team 2026 executive summary, interviews June 2025 to March 2026, still lists the firm.
A chief legal officer who still recommends this platform is working against that recommendation-rate collapse. The matching conversation is rate and staffing, not loyalty. If the hour is a Florida public-finance associate, the payer is an issuer or underwriter. If it is a San Francisco private-equity associate, the payer is a sponsor or a portfolio-company general counsel. Those two buyers do not share a lockstep, and neither of them is matching an in-house W-2 to a scale the firm has not published.
Who earns the figureWho pays it
- The earner Associate, Resident Attorney, Practice Group Attorney, Of Counsel or Shareholder on the firm W-2. Cash is office-posted or LCA-attested, not a single lockstep.
- The rate The instrument the general counsel actually approves. Seniority, office and practice sit inside it. A 2025 increase of 7 to 9 percent is already in the file.
- The payer A chief legal officer, general counsel or head of legal at an operating company, PE sponsor, bank, REIT, or public issuer. The matching decision is a panel and staffing decision.
Operating-company general counsel
Chief legal officers, general counsel, deputies and VPs Legal at companies with $1 billion or more in revenue — BTI's 2025 interview universe — in banking, financial services, pharma, oil and gas, and food and agritech.
Private-equity and portfolio GC
San Francisco and Texas 2026 ads hire into PE investments, divestitures and portfolio-company M&A. The matching buyer is the sponsor or the portfolio-company general counsel.
Bank and financial-institution legal
New York and Charlotte lending associates represent financial institutions on loan origination. The payer is the bank legal department buying the hour.
Issuer and underwriter
Public-finance associates are paid by state and local issuers, housing finance agencies, airports and underwriters. That cash is not an in-house lockstep.
The employment contract is with Greenberg Traurig, LLP or Greenberg Traurig, P.A., not with the client.
- Shareholder is the equity title. The 29 February 2024 elevation release named 38 new shareholders across 20 offices and 12 practices, and 22 elevations to of counsel and local partner.
- Practice Group Attorney is described on the U.S. attorneys page as non-Shareholder-track, full-time with benefits, with a stated option to move onto Shareholder-track consideration.
- Resident Attorney is a newly licensed lawyer who has not yet worked as a full-time attorney: one year, full-time, mentored by a Shareholder, filling needs not met through the summer program.
- London trainee is a separate junior pipeline: four six-month seats, SQE route. Internationally qualified lawyers are not taken onto the training contract; they enter as laterals.
The Legal 500 United States 2026, announced 10 June 2026, recognized 52 practices on a publisher criterion of advice to corporate counsel.
- Real estate capability pages (accessed 2026) size 700+ sector-focused attorneys across 40 markets. Buyers: developers, lenders, PE funds, REITs, operators, joint ventures, sovereign wealth funds.
- Corporate is sized at 700+ corporate and securities lawyers; private equity at 150+ lawyers in 27 locations, with historic focus on the middle market.
- Litigation is sized at 800+ litigators worldwide, including 60+ former federal and state prosecutors. Lex Machina ranked the firm third most active for commercial-litigation defendants, 2021-2023, on the capability page.
- Labor and employment is 200+ practitioners; Chambers USA 2026, as cited on the capability page, recognized 30 lawyers in 12 U.S. regions. The buyer is management-side.
A general counsel matches a billed rate, not an in-house lockstep.
Some offices post a dollar because the statute now says they must.
Pay-transparency law, not a sudden conversion to lockstep, is why a New Jersey band exists and an Orlando ad does not.
New York, New Jersey and California now force a dollar range onto the ad. New York Labor Law § 194-b, as explained by the New York State Department of Labor, requires private employers with four or more employees to list compensation ranges on advertised jobs, promotions and transfers. That duty sits behind the New York and Long Island postings. California Labor Code § 432.3, as amended by Stats. 2025, Ch. 468 (SB 642), effective 1 January 2026, requires employers with 15 or more employees to include a good-faith pay scale in any job posting. The California Labor Commissioner interprets the posting duty to reach a role that may ever be filled in California, in person or remotely. Direct effect: the San Francisco senior corporate band. New Jersey S2310, signed 18 November 2024 and effective 1 June 2025, is the statute behind the Florham Park range; the firm’s own 23 October 2025 wage-transparency survey lists New Jersey among U.S. posting states.
Florida has no analogue to § 194-b in the research file. The Orlando senior real-estate advertisement, 6+ years, posted 19 August 2026, carries no dollar. Texas ads in Austin and Dallas omit a range in the posting text. A general counsel hiring through those offices is negotiating without a public floor, which is a different conversation from a New Jersey laterals process that already printed $200,000 to $235,000.
The EU Pay Transparency Directive, adopted 10 May 2023, has a member-state implementation deadline of 7 June 2026, as the firm’s 23 October 2025 advisory sets out: salary range on postings or during hiring, a ban on asking prior pay, and reporting from June 2027 by headcount. London sits outside that Directive. Newly qualified pay remains undisclosed. European offices in Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Warsaw and Milan face 2026-2027 posting and reporting build; that is a hiring-process fact, not a 2026 NQ figure.
A general counsel who needs a Florida or Texas laterals file should not wait for the advertisement to print a band. Ask for the expected-pay range in the first scoping call, the way New York already prints it, and put that number in the matter budget before a shortlist moves. A head of legal who is hiring the in-house counterpart to a San Francisco PE associate already has a public $390,000 to $410,000 band to argue from. An Orlando silence is not a discount. It is an unpriced seat.
New York’s exempt-salary floor for executive, administrative and professional employees in New York City, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester rises to $1,275.00 a week on 1 January 2026, per the firm’s 14 December 2023 alert. Annualized, that is $66,300 — a statutory floor, not an associate scale. Every Greenberg Traurig associate band sits far above it.
| Office in the 2026 set | Posting statute | Effective | Dollar on the ad |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York / Long Island | N.Y. Labor Law § 194-b | In force (4+ employees) | $310,000-$365,000; $200,000-$400,000 |
| Florham Park, N.J. | New Jersey S2310 | 1 June 2025 | $200,000-$235,000 |
| San Francisco | Cal. Labor Code § 432.3 (SB 642) | 1 January 2026 | $390,000-$410,000 |
| Austin / Dallas | No analogue in the research file | — | Not posted |
| Orlando | No analogue in the research file | — | Not posted |
| London | UK outside the EU Directive | Directive deadline 7 June 2026 (EU) | Not posted (NQ undisclosed) |
Statute forces the numberNo posting duty
- Range-mandatory states New York, New Jersey, California. The ad is a public instrument. A laterals conversation starts with a printed band.
- Range-silent states Florida and Texas in this set. The general counsel and the candidate still have to name a number. The posting will not do it for them.
- London Trainee cash is posted. Newly qualified cash is not. The UK has not mandated bands the way the Directive does on the continent.
The cash on the W-2 is funded by the book the general counsel already bought.
Municipal issuance, a Supreme Court tariff holding, a UK fraud offense, and a 2025 real-estate rebound are what keep these desks staffed. They are not a first-year scale memo.
Bond Buyer reported on 17 February 2026 that U.S. municipal issuance reached $586.195 billion in 2025, up 14.1 percent from the 2024 record of $513.652 billion. Florida 2025 volume was $23.695 billion, down 14 percent, fourth among states. On 17 August 2026 Bond Buyer put H1 2026 issuance at $294.884 billion, up 5.8 percent; Florida H1 2026 was $11.049 billion, up 9 percent. Refundings in H1 2026 were up 47.1 percent. Prepaid-gas structures, tied in part to AI and data-center electricity demand, were named as a contributor. That cycle pays public-finance associates and the Florida issuer desk.
The firm’s public-finance practice ranked No. 7 nationally as bond counsel in 2024, with $14.074 billion aggregate principal across 151 long-term tax-exempt public offerings, per the 31 January 2025 release citing Bond Buyer. An 8 May 2025 firm release, citing LSEG Data & Analytics, added No. 1 in Florida for bond counsel. Bond Buyer on 17 March 2026 reported that Nixon Peabody and Gilmore & Bell entered the 2025 top 10, knocking Greenberg Traurig to the top 25. Continuous 2025-2026 issuance is still a staffing fact. National rank is not.
The Supreme Court held on 20 February 2026, in Trump v. V.O.S. Selections consolidated with Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump, that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act does not authorize the President to impose tariffs (SCOTUSblog case page; 6-3). The firm’s same-day alert described possible refunds of over $130 billion, a 180-day protest window under 19 U.S.C. § 1514, protective Court of International Trade actions, and the fact that Section 232 and Section 301 programs remain. That work is mid-to-senior international trade, CIT and commercial follow-on. It is not a first-year class-year spike. Who pays: general counsel at importers of record, manufacturers, retailers and trading companies.
The UK failure-to-prevent-fraud offense under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 has been in force since 1 September 2025 (SRA notice, 3 April 2025). It applies to large organizations meeting two of: more than 250 employees, more than £36 million turnover, more than £18 million assets. The firm’s Outlook 2026: UK White Collar Crime, 29 January 2026, said 2026 may see investigations opened, and noted the Serious Fraud Office’s ambition to be first to prosecute. The London 3-to-6 PQE white-collar associate advertisement of 28 August 2026 is that seniority, in that cycle. Who pays: general counsel at large corporates and financial institutions with a UK nexus, including non-UK parents.
Real estate, in the 26 February 2026 American Lawyer interview, “came roaring back” in 2025 after a down stretch; litigation, corporate and IP were up; private-equity transactional quality and size were strong. The 2026 Workday demand is 3-to-5-year lending, 6- and 10-year Florida and Long Island real estate, and 4-to-6- and 6+-year PE/M&A in Texas and San Francisco. Mid-level and senior associates, not first-years. Munich opened 1 February 2025 as the 49th office, with a German health-care and life-sciences team of 15 lawyers (five shareholders and 10 associates) and a private-equity team of six shareholders and 12 associates after the additions, per the 30 January 2025 opening release. Abu Dhabi, licensed in the Abu Dhabi Global Market, opened 1 October 2025 as the 50th. Europe and the Middle East held nearly 700 lawyers as of 26 February 2026. Two 2026 European matters size the desks a continental general counsel actually buys: Isar Aerospace Series D at €270 million (16 June 2026) and Helsing Series E at $1.8 billion on an $18 billion valuation (16 July 2026).
Miami first-years and Florida laterals still sit a Florida-specific exam. The Florida Board of Bar Examiners (accessed 2026) states admission is by examination only: no reciprocity shortcut on that page. July 2026 results were scheduled 18 September 2026. NextGen with a Florida Law Component begins July 2028. A 2026 Resident Attorney or first-year for Miami still sits the current exam. No posted Miami first-year range was retrieved. A general counsel who wants a Florida-admitted commercial lawyer on a 6-to-12-week clock is hiring someone already through that exam, or the start date is the results date, not the offer letter.
A Greenberg Traurig bonus grid is not public. Neither is London NQ.
A page that estimates the missing cash is not a benchmark. It is a guess. The holes below are the ones a general counsel and a candidate should price as unknown.
Sartori maps roughly 10,000 lawyers in Miami. That file records employer and seniority. It does not record Greenberg Traurig bonus, because no public grid does. Of 94 associates and counsel at Am Law 20 Florida and New York platforms inside the same Miami interview cohort, over a 24-month window, 51 said they do not have a published class-year grid they can take into a counter-offer conversation. That is the uncomfortable number on our side of the table: we can price a posted band and a rate. We cannot see year-end cash this firm has not printed.
Of 23 closed Miami associate searches over three years, five Florida-desk files ran past the 12-week outer mark of our usual timeline. In each of those five, the hiring committee declined to put a dollar on the public posting, and the candidate would not resign without one. That is the slow segment on this desk. Pay-transparency states move faster because the band is already in the room. Copying Florida’s silence into a New York search is how a 6-to-12-week file becomes the one that embarrasses the department.
A 2018 leadership interview, quoted by Above the Law on 11 June 2018, described compensation decisions as individualized, local, and tailored. That is dated philosophy, not a 2026 statute and not a 2026 scale. 2021 legal-press reports of a New York first-year raise and a Miami lockstep are unnamed-source items from that year; they are not 2026 cash and they are not used as such here.
Two composites from the envelope, numbers inside the Miami associate file. An Am Law 20 Florida real-estate group needed a sixth-year transactional associate; Florida Bar by examination only; no public range on the posting; a counter-offer arrived, consistent with this city’s 33 percent incidence; the file closed in 11 weeks, inside the usual 6-to-12-week window only because the hiring shareholder named a number on the second call. A bank general counsel staffing a 3-to-5-year lending associate through an Am Law 20 New York office had a printed band to work from; the conversation was rate, origination experience, and whether the hour would be New York or Charlotte; the file closed in 8 weeks. A third: a large-corporate general counsel with UK nexus needed a 4 PQE investigations lawyer after 1 September 2025; the London advertisement of 28 August 2026 is the public demand surface for that seniority; our comparable file ran 10 weeks, with the delay on whether the parent met the large-organization tests rather than on shortlist quality.
Headcount across 2025-2026 snapshots sits in a 2,850 to 3,200 band: 2,850 attorneys in 49 locations on 4 September 2025; approximately 3,200 attorneys and 2,400 professional staff on the CEO biography; 3,100 lawyers in the 26 February 2026 interview. FY 2023 revenue was more than $2.3 billion, a 6 percent increase, in the 29 February 2024 release. Legal Cheek describes FY 2025 as the 14th consecutive growth year. London trainee intake rising from 8 to 12, reported 7 April 2026, is a 2027 junior-demand signal, not a 2026 NQ disclosure. UK-table average NQ across 100+ firms was £118,756 on 29 September 2025; 18 U.S. London shops sat above £170,000. Those figures are the City perimeter. They are not Greenberg Traurig NQ.
Workday ads, Labor Law § 194-b, and the FY 2025 reprint.
Posted expected-pay is the firm's own advertisement. LCA wages are attested OFLC filings. FY 2025 totals are the American Lawyer interview of 26 February 2026. The lockstep cited as perimeter is Milbank's, not this firm's.

In-house counsel recruitingGreenberg Traurig pay in 2026: common questions
What is the Greenberg Traurig salary in 2026?
Posted U.S. ads in August and September 2026 listed expected pay of $200,000 to $235,000 for a New Jersey 2–4-year litigation associate and $390,000 to $410,000 for a San Francisco senior corporate associate. Florida and Texas ads accessed the same weeks omitted a dollar. London newly qualified pay is undisclosed. There is no public firmwide class-year grid.
Does Greenberg Traurig match the 2026 BigLaw associate scale?
Greenberg Traurig is not named on Above the Law’s 2026 matcher table, updated through late August 2026. The market perimeter around the seat is $235,000 to $455,000 from 1 July 2026, set by Milbank on 2 June 2026. A missing name on a matcher table is not a sourced denial memo; it is a measured absence from a running list.
What is Greenberg Traurig PEP in 2026?
Preliminary FY 2025 profits per equity partner were $2.898 million, up 10.1 percent, in the American Lawyer interview published 26 February 2026. That is an equity-owner average, not an associate paycheck and not a nonequity figure. Finalized 2026 Am Law 100 line items were not retrieved for this page.
What is the Greenberg Traurig associate salary by office?
New Jersey listed $200,000 to $235,000 in August 2026; Florida ads in the same set listed none. New York, New Jersey and California ads accessed in 2026 carry a dollar range. Texas ads in that set do not.
Does Greenberg Traurig pay a bonus in 2026?
All four ranged U.S. Workday ads state bonuses are discretionary. A 2026 year-end or special-bonus dollar grid is not public, so it is omitted here. Do not borrow the Cravath year-end scale and treat it as Greenberg Traurig cash.
How should a general counsel match Greenberg Traurig time?
Match the billed rate: 2025 rates rose 7 to 9 percent, the firm told the American Lawyer on 26 February 2026, with a larger 2026 increase anticipated. Staffing seniority and office then sit inside that rate, not inside an in-house lockstep.

Match the rate, not a lockstep you cannot see.
If you are a general counsel staffing a Greenberg Traurig-priced matter, or a head of legal hiring the in-house counterpart, we price the seat from the posting and the rate — not from a scale the firm has not published.
