Mishcon De Reya Salary 2026: Associate Scale, Bonus and Partner Pay

On 23 July 2026, Mishcon de Reya set London newly qualified base at £110,000 from September. The US lockstep a general counsel matches against that cell is $235,000 from 1 July 2026. Dated figures in both markets. This page prices both tables for the lawyer who earns the sterling print and the company that has to match it.

The first number a general counsel asks is the dollar match.

Sartori maps about 30,000 practicing lawyers in London. The first number a general counsel asks about Mishcon de Reya nq salary is how the 2026 London NQ of £110,000 sits against the US first-year lockstep of $235,000, not a mid-PQE band the firm has not printed.

Lens 01 · The London cell London NQ is £110,000 from September 2026.

Mishcon de Reya's 23 July 2026 release set the 2026 London newly qualified solicitor base at £110,000 from September, with first-year trainees at £52,500 and second-year trainees at £57,500 from July. Legal Cheek, on 27 July 2026, recorded the prior NQ as £100,000, a 10 percent step. Dated sterling. Base, not total cash.

Four reads of one 2026 problem. The London NQ is public. The US lockstep is public. The conversion uses the announcement-day spot. Partner pay is not a 2026 cell. The two-table arithmetic sits in section 03.

What Mishcon de Reya has actually printed for 2026

Start with the seats and the dates. London NQ is a 23 July 2026 announcement, effective September. Trainee cash moved in July. Bonus is a percentage ceiling dated July 2027, not a pounds award.

Mishcon de Reya's 23 July 2026 news release, Mishcon de Reya announces increases to NQ and Trainee pay, states that the firm has increased its 2026 NQ salary to £110,000, effective from September. The same release sets first-year trainees at £52,500 and second-year trainees at £57,500, effective from July. City AM, the same day, restated the three 2026 cells. Solicitors Journal, also 23 July 2026, restated the NQ and trainee figures. That is the London table. It is base salary, not total compensation.

The step that set the pound is dated. Legal Cheek, on 27 July 2026, recorded the move from £100,000 to £110,000 (10 percent) from September, with first-year trainees from £50,000 to £52,500 and second years from £55,000 to £57,500 from July. Use the firm announcement as primary for 2026 trainee year two. Legal Cheek's firm profile, accessed 11 September 2026, lists second-year trainee cash at £57,000 — £500 below the 23 July release. Do not split the difference.

The extra-hours bonus is a ceiling, not a paycheck. The 23 July 2026 firm release states that earlier in 2026 the firm announced Associates, Managing Associates and Of Counsel are eligible for an additional bonus if they work significantly in excess of their standard expected hours, on top of the existing high-performer bonus, and that the firm has not changed its chargeable hours expectations. Law.com International Edition, on 4 June 2026, reported the scheme will allow lawyers working exceptional hours to earn up to 30 percent more than their base salary. The Global Legal Post, the same day, reported the same 30 percent ceiling, said the boost takes effect in July 2027, and attributed a 1,000-hour junior target to Legal Cheek. City AM, 4 June 2026, independently dated the scheme to July 2027. On an NQ base of £110,000 that ceiling is £33,000 of extra-hours cash from July 2027. It is not a guaranteed payout.

Legal Cheek's Firms Most List, accessed 11 September 2026, lists Mishcon de Reya at 29 training-contract places. The firm's graduates FAQs, accessed the same day, print up to 30 training contracts from the 2025 vacation schemes, with five 2026 vacation schemes (four London, one Cambridge). Those are two printed counts, not a blended intake. Legal Cheek's card lists a PGDL grant of £11,000 and an SQE grant of £15,000; the graduates FAQs list a £10,000 maintenance grant. Both are dated public cells. Do not reconcile them.

03 The company number

What Mishcon de Reya nq salary costs a company to match

Matching is a two-table problem. The published London NQ is £110,000 from September 2026. The US lockstep a general counsel is also matching is $235,000 from 1 July 2026. Put them in one currency before you write the requisition.

Pound Sterling Live's republication of Bank of England daily GBP/USD reference rates lists 23 July 2026 at 1.332 dollars per pound — the Mishcon announcement date. On that spot, £110,000 converts to $146,520. The $235,000 US first-year converts to £176,426. Legal Cheek, on 3 July 2026, independently glossed Milbank's $235,000 as roughly £176,000. The Global Legal Post, on 4 June 2026, glossed the same dollar cell as £175,000. This page uses the Bank of England 23 July 2026 spot, not the glosses.

Bloomberg Law, on 17 June 2026, wrote that on 2 June Milbank announced a new associate pay scale, raising base salaries by $10,000 to $20,000 depending on seniority, starting at $235,000 for first-year associates and topping out at $455,000 for eighth-year associates. Above the Law, on 2 June 2026, reported the same first-mover, effective 1 July 2026. Biglaw Investor's 1968–2026 scale table publishes the 2026 market bases as $235,000 / $245,000 / $270,000 / $320,000 / $385,000 / $410,000 / $440,000 / $455,000 by class year. That full ladder is the US lockstep page, not this one. The first- and eighth-year cells are the match a general counsel needs against Mishcon's London NQ.

The dollar floor is not the US national median. NALP's 28 May 2025 press release put median first-year associate base at $200,000 as of 1 January 2025, with $225,000 the most frequently reported figure (32 percent of 437 offices). NALP's Class of 2025 Jobs & JDs Selected Findings, published 5 August 2026, recorded a national median salary for employed law graduates of $100,000, and noted that salary information was collected before some large firms increased starting salaries to $235,000 in June 2026. Firms of more than 500 lawyers hired 6,588 Class of 2025 graduates, down about 540, or 7.5 percent. The 2026 lockstep a chief legal officer matches is a price floor set by a smaller entering class.

The Association of Corporate Counsel / Empsight 2025 Law Department Compensation Survey Executive Summary, released 16 September 2025 on 1,632–1,637 US in-house respondents, puts median Attorney base at $148,000 (median total cash $160,000) and General Counsel — Single Lawyer at $234,000 base / $255,000 total cash. At the 23 July 2026 spot, $148,000 is £111,111. That is a cash wash with Mishcon's £110,000 NQ. CLOs at companies with revenue greater than $5 billion make 44 percent more in base and 173 percent more in total target compensation than CLOs at organizations under $1 billion, with large-company CLO median total target compensation exceeding $1 million. CLOs with prior law-firm experience earn 21 percent more in base. Bloomberg Law, on 17 June 2026, noted that general counsel send high-stakes matters to litigation boutiques that matched the $235,000–$455,000 2026 scale.

In the same London interview cohort, 58 of 124 in-house counsel, general counsel and chief legal officer respondents over a 24-month window named the £110,000 versus $235,000 spread as the first matching question they took to a remuneration committee. A general counsel at a US-listed software group described the constraint in one line: they will fund the published London NQ; they will not fund the dollar lockstep for a UK-qualified disputes seat.

04 What is not on the page

Associate scale, partner pay and the published absences

The rungs a 4PQE actually occupies are not on any public page. Partner pay has not been a firm-published metric since July 2023. Those two blanks are the matching problem above the NQ.

Published NQEquity drawings

  1. Newly qualified base London £110,000 from September 2026, announced 23 July. This is the number a general counsel can take to a board without asking the firm for an internal print.
  2. Associate, Managing Associate, Of Counsel, Legal Director Named as the extra-hours bonus population and as promotion titles. Not published as pounds. A 1PQE-to-legal-director lockstep is not public.
  3. Partner equity PEP withdrawn in July 2023. FY2024/25 profit of £110 million is a firm total, not a partner drawing. Nonequity partner cash is not public.

In that same cohort, 27 of 79 newly qualified and 1–3 PQE respondents at independent UK full-service firms over an 18-month window named the unpublished mid-level scale, not the £110,000 NQ, as the reason they were testing the market. That is the associate-side read of the same gap a general counsel hits when they try to price a 4PQE fraud or private-wealth hire off a Mishcon CV. A 1PQE-to-legal-director lockstep for Mishcon de Reya is not public.

Partner pay is the other blank, and it is a dated policy, not a missing PDF. The Law Gazette, on 21 July 2023, reported that Mishcon de Reya would no longer publish profit per equity partner; FY2022/23 profit before members' remuneration was £93 million on turnover of £255 million, with over 220 partners and more than 750 fee-earners at that date. Legal Business, on 10 September 2025, stated Mishcon has not reported PEP since 2023. Legal Cheek's 2026 profile still lists PEP as undisclosed. Do not estimate a 2026 partner-pay cell. FY2024/25 promotions, from the 10 September 2025 firm release, moved 27 people to Partner, 13 to Legal Director and four to Of Counsel, with 16 joining partners. Those are headcount movements, not pay bands.

Hours are a published target, not a rumor. Legal Cheek's Mishcon de Reya profile, from the 2026–27 Trainee and Junior Lawyer Survey of over 2,000 trainees and junior associates, lists annual target hours as 1,000, with average start 08:58 and finish 19:19. The 23 July 2026 firm release states chargeable-hours expectations were not changed when the extra-hours bonus was announced. City AM and The Global Legal Post, on 4 June 2026, both described the hours expectation as unchanged. Do not import a billable-hours figure from a comment thread.

05 Two payers

Who earns the figure, and who writes the check

Two payers sit on the same cash figure: the UK LLP that employs the 2026 NQ, and the general counsel who seconds the junior, hires them in-house, or buys the same City PQE on a panel.

Of 33 closed London associate searches over the trailing three years, Sartori's mandate telemetry records 20 as company-side seats in which a general counsel, chief legal officer or head of legal was matching a City NQ or 1–3 PQE hire against either the published sterling cell or the US lockstep. The remaining 13 were firm-side associate seats. That split is why this page is not a Magic Circle lateral memo. The company is the majority buyer on the London associate desk that priced this table.

We have worked the London associate market for more than 10 years, for companies in disputes-heavy corporates, family offices, innovation-economy issuers, real-estate institutions and employment-side employers, and for independent UK full-service firms. Over the trailing three years we closed 33 associate searches at a 93 percent completion rate, on a typical timeline of 6 to 12 weeks, with a median 12 working days between offer and acceptance and counter-offer incidence at 35 percent.

The firm writes the paycheckA company matches the print

  1. UK LLP payroll Trainee, newly qualified Associate, Managing Associate, Of Counsel, Legal Director, then Partner — the people on the published NQ table and the unpublished rungs above it.
  2. Mishcon GC product An outsourced general-counsel offering sold to companies without a legal team, companies expanding an in-house team, or family offices sitting beside an existing GC. Block hours, not an NQ salary.
  3. In-house match A chief legal officer or head of legal at an innovation-economy issuer, family office, real-estate institution or dual employment buyer who must price a City NQ against £110,000 rather than against $235,000.

The employment contract for the published NQ sits at Mishcon de Reya LLP, on an Associate title, not on an in-house payroll.

  • Retention is a counted class. The firm's 3 September 2026 release kept 19 of 22 trainees (86 percent). Seventeen qualify as solicitors and start as Associates in September 2026; two solicitor apprentices qualify as Associates in February 2027. The 4 September 2025 release kept 26 of 30 (87 percent).
  • Dispute Resolution took the largest 2026 slice. Six of the 19 retained seats sat in Dispute Resolution, four of them Fraud, with one Criminal and Regulatory Defence and one Commercial Litigation. Private also took six. Vision 2030 states disputes will still account for more than half the business by 2030.
  • Qualification is the SQE gate. The Solicitors Regulation Authority's SQE hub, updated August 2025, still requires a degree or equivalent, SQE1 and SQE2, two years' qualifying work experience, and suitability. Mishcon's graduates FAQs: trainees are hired solely through the vacation scheme; post-2024 LPC holdovers excepted, candidates qualify via SQE at the University of Law. The Legal Services Board approved SQE on 28 October 2020.
  • Equity is a different paycheck. PEP is not a 2026 cell. FY2024/25 promotions named Partner, Legal Director and Of Counsel as the next rungs a general counsel prices against when a Mishcon-trained lawyer laterals in-house. They are titles, not pounds.

The general counsel matching this table sits in the client sectors that generate the work — disputes claimants and defendants, family offices, innovation-economy issuers, real-estate institutions, and employment-side employers — not inside the firm's lockstep.

  • Claimant classes already instruct the disputes desk. The Commercial Court, in [2025] EWHC 2972 (Comm) published 13 November 2025, ordered costs budgeting in a £340 million claim by about 13,300 licensed London taxi drivers. On 10 June 2026 the firm announced a proposed opt-out collective claim against Booking.com, estimated damages over £2 billion, to be filed in the Competition Appeal Tribunal and funded by Balance Legal Capital.
  • Family offices sit beside Mishcon Private. The Mishcon Private page describes UHNW individuals, families and family offices; Mishcon GC for family offices sits beside an existing family-office general counsel or substitutes for one. Legal 500 UK 2026, in the firm's 1 October 2025 recap, listed top-tier labels in family, personal tax, trusts and probate, and contentious trusts.
  • Innovation-economy issuers buy the Corporate and Innovation seats. The 10 September 2025 results cite Emerging Companies advice to Wayve on a $1.05 billion Series C and to Arondite on a £9 million round. Those are matter sizes, not a hiring conclusion, and they are the files a head of legal at an AI issuer is matching when they hire from the same PQE pool.
  • Employment has two buyers. Legal 500 UK 2026 top-tier labels include Employment — Employers and Senior executives. Chambers UK 2026 ranked Employment: Employer; Employment: Employer: High Court Litigation; and Employment: Senior Executive. The 2026 NQ class put one Associate into Employment Core against the Employment Rights Act 2025.
Where the 19 retained 2026 Mishcon NQs actually sat, counted from the firm's 3 September 2026 team list with names stripped. Dispute Resolution and Private took 12 of 19 seats.

A composite from that company-side majority: a PE-backed innovation-economy platform asked us to fill a first in-house disputes-counsel seat with a 3PQE who had sat fraud or commercial litigation at an independent UK full-service firm. The general counsel would fund the published NQ-adjacent print and would not fund the $235,000 lockstep for a UK-qualified seat. We closed the search in 8 weeks, inside the 6-to-12-week envelope. The candidate who wanted a Mishcon 4PQE band we could not verify from a public table was not the candidate this board was buying.

A head of legal at a single-family office put the other constraint: they price private-wealth and tax counsel against the same City PQE pool, not against Mishcon's unpublished lockstep, and partner profit chatter is noise on a first in-house counsel hire. The published NQ is a floor they can defend. A made-up 4PQE band is not.

A 2026 partner-pay cell the firm has not printed is not a number we can invent.

06 What pays these salaries

The desks that still absorb these NQs

The 10 percent NQ step is a cyclical response to the June 2026 dollar reset, not a demand collapse. FY2024/25 still printed growth, and the files that justify a City NQ are being written by statute, by CAT work, and by a disputes practice that Vision 2030 still puts above half the business.

Mishcon de Reya's 10 September 2025 results release put revenues at £330 million for the last financial year, up 9 percent, and profits at £110 million, up 14 percent, the first time profit exceeded £100 million. Legal Business, the same day, restated turnover from £302 million to £330 million and profit from £97 million to £110 million. The 2025 Annual Review repeats those cells for the year 1 April to 31 March, and states there are more than 1,400 people. Chambers UK 2026, in a firm-supplied profile, lists over 1,400 people with more than 650 lawyers, 45 ranked departments, and six offices. Oxford Properties, on 20 July 2026, restated more than 1,400 people worldwide against a 161,000 square foot, 20-year lease at MidCity Place for a 2029 move. That lease is structural capacity for Vision 2030, not a 2026 NQ increment.

Statute writes the fileA specialist seat, not an NQ factory

  1. Employment Rights Act 2025 Royal Assent 18 December 2025. Phased commencements through 2026 and 2027 load Employment Core and Senior Executive desks. The 2026 NQ class put one Associate into Employment Core.
  2. FIG regime from 6 April 2025 HMRC replaced the remittance basis with a four-year foreign income and gains regime. Private Wealth and Tax and Immigration Associates are the immediate seats; the 2026 class put two into Private Wealth and Tax and one apprentice into Immigration.
  3. PACCAR still in force The Supreme Court judgment of 26 July 2023 remains the funding constraint. Mishcon still filed CAT opt-out work in June 2026. Funding-structure work sits with partners and managing associates, not a new NQ lockstep.

The Employment Rights Act 2025 (c. 36) received Royal Assent on 18 December 2025. Lewis Silkin's 4 September 2026 commencement dashboard, restating the government's roadmap as updated 7 August 2026, dates SSP from day one, holiday-record duties and day-one family rights to 6 April 2026; employment-tribunal time limits rising from three to six months on 1 October 2026; and the unfair-dismissal qualifying period falling from two years to six months for dismissals with an effective date of termination on or after 1 January 2027. The Fair Work Agency was established 7 April 2026. Hiring consequence for a head of legal: employer-side advisory now, tribunal and High Court litigation as claims lengthen. Dual buyer: employers and senior executives.

HMRC, published 6 April 2025, states that on that date the four-year foreign income and gains regime replaced the remittance basis. HMRC's Residence and FIG Regime Manual RFIG41000 confirms that from 6 April 2025 all UK residents are taxed on the arising basis on worldwide income and gains, with FIG relief for qualifying new residents. Mishcon Private's Non-Dom Hub frames the reforms as now in force from 6 April 2025. Timing: 2025–26 is the first FIG tax year. Mid-level tax and immigration laterals through 2027 as inheritance-tax and trust knock-ons mature.

R (PACCAR Inc) v Competition Appeal Tribunal [2023] UKSC 28, judgment 26 July 2023, still constrains damages-based litigation funding. The Civil Justice Council's Review of Litigation Funding — Final Report, 2 June 2025, recommends legislation to reverse PACCAR. That is a recommendation, not a statute. Mishcon announced the proposed Booking.com CAT claim on 10 June 2026, funded by Balance Legal Capital. Until Parliament legislates, NQ demand on that desk is document-heavy claimant classes, not a new lockstep. The Commercial Court Uber black-cab claim, with costs budgeting ordered over the defendants' objection because the claim forms did not state a value despite exceeding the usual £10 million threshold, is a multi-year associate pipeline through a limitation preliminary issue first.

Technology is both a practice and a regulator risk. The Solicitors Regulation Authority, on 17 August 2026, issued a warning notice on professional obligations when using AI, citing 42 reports of potential misuse between July 2025 and July 2026. The 23 July 2026 extra-hours bonus explicitly includes use of AI. The 2025 Annual Review states deReyAI has been used 355,000 times since launch. A 24 February 2025 firm release announced a Legora partnership alongside deReyAI, with Phase 2 including litigation-specific workflows. The SRA notice raises the cost of unsupervised junior use — pressure on mid-level reviewers in 2026–27, not a substitute for NQ headcount. Innovation took three of 19 retained 2026 seats (Data, Intellectual Property, Emerging Companies).

The Office for National Statistics series JQ3O, release 11 September 2026, put GB legal-activities turnover at £55,865.2 million in calendar 2025 against £52,286.3 million in 2024, with July 2026 at £5,316.5 million. The Law Society of England and Wales, on 29 April 2026, reported its Financial Benchmarking Survey 2026 (121 firms, combined fee income over £1.2 billion): median practice fee income up 11.2 percent in 2025, fee earners up 2.3 percent. That is the capital cycle that makes a 10 percent NQ rise financeable. It is not a practice-specific seat.

Geography adds laterals, not a London NQ lockstep change. The Dubai office at One Za'abeel, Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone, opened 4 June 2026, with ADGM already open. The UAE page lists a global disputes practice of over 350 litigators, corporate of just under 80 fee-earners including over 30 partners, and employment of almost 20 partners and nearly 60 other lawyers. Partner, Managing Associate and Associate disputes seats in Dubai and ADGM are a 2026 lateral demand spike at those titles, paid off the same bonus architecture the 23 July 2026 release describes.

07 For the company

How a general counsel should run a Mishcon-scale hire

Run the hire against the two tables that exist: a dated London NQ, a dated US lockstep, an unpublished mid-level, and a partner cell the firm stopped printing in 2023.

Six of 20 company-side files in that telemetry stalled past twelve weeks because the buyer asked us to price a 3–5 PQE Mishcon hire against the $235,000 US lockstep rather than against the published £110,000 NQ. Those searches sat open while the general counsel waited for a dollar match on a UK-qualified seat. That is the finding that does not flatter the desk. We can price a published NQ against a published lockstep. We cannot convert a 4PQE Mishcon CV into a Milbank class year. A 2026 partner-pay cell the firm has not printed is not a number we can invent.

Of the 13 firm-side files in the same 33, 5 needed a second shortlist after the first-choice NQ used the 12-working-day offer window to shop a Magic Circle or Quinn London print. Sartori's London associate counter-offer incidence is 35 percent; that rate is a defense cost, not a compliment. The 12-day window is short enough that a candidate who wants to shop the £150,000 or £189,000 print can do it inside the process. Budget that.

A second composite, from the slower end of the envelope: a listed real-estate owner asked us to fill an employment-counsel seat against the Employment Rights Act 2025 commencements. The first-choice candidate had already seen the £110,000 NQ and wanted a mid-level Mishcon print we could not verify. The file took 11 weeks, needed a second shortlist, and closed on a candidate from an independent UK full-service firm who would disclose current cash. The unpublished middle is not only an associate grievance. It is a company-side delay.

  1. 01 · Which table? Write London NQ, US lockstep, secondment-to-hire, or 4PQE disputes as separate briefs. If you cannot say which, you are not ready to open a search.
  2. 02 · Which print? Price against the 23 July 2026 sterling cell and the 1 July 2026 dollar cell, not against a hoped-for mid-PQE band. If the board will not fund £110,000 for a UK-qualified seat, you are not matching this table.
  3. 03 · Which desk? Name the file: fraud, private wealth, employment, emerging companies, real estate finance. A generic “Mishcon-scale commercial lawyer” produces a shortlist for a job you do not have.
  4. → All three answered? Then run the search on the 6-to-12-week clock, budget a 35 percent counter-offer, and put the unpublished mid-level question in the first screening call rather than the fourth.
  • Write the NQ specification first. UK-qualified or dual-qualified, practice label, whether a Mishcon GC secondment host is acceptable, whether you will match only this print or will stretch toward the dollar lockstep.
  • Pull the published tables, not a rumor. The 23 July 2026 firm release is the London pound. Bloomberg Law, 17 June 2026, is the dollar floor. Convert at a dated spot. Do not mix them.
  • Ask what the mid-level print is. The firm does not publish it. A candidate who will not say what they earn at 4PQE is not ready to be matched in-house.
  • Treat PEP as a different product. Withdrawn in July 2023. FY2024/25 profit of £110 million is not an NQ match, and it is not an in-house counsel band.
  • Name the desk the 2026 class actually joined. Fraud, Private, Innovation, Employment Core and Real Estate Finance are counted seats. A generic commercial brief is not.

Google Ads Keyword Planner, measured 11 September 2026 across four countries, put 180 monthly searches on the string this page owns. That is demand for the dated number, not a reason to invent a lockstep. Sartori & Partners maps nearly 1.5 million lawyer profiles globally, with quarterly market surveys running since 2019. The London associate findings here — the 33 closed searches, the 35 percent counter-offer rate, the 12-day window, the 20 company-side files, the six stalled dollar-match files — come from that program. The company-side route sits on our in-house counsel recruiting practice; the firm-side NQ and 1–3 PQE work sits on associate recruiting. What a chief legal officer costs on the company side sits on our general counsel salary 2026 benchmark. The US lockstep this table is matched against is on our 2026 BigLaw associate salary scale.

Questions from both sides of the 2026 table

What is Mishcon de Reya nq salary in London for 2026?

London newly qualified base is £110,000 from September 2026, a 10 percent step from £100,000. Mishcon de Reya announced the cell on 23 July 2026. It is base salary, not total compensation, and not a mid-PQE scale.

How does the 2026 Mishcon NQ compare with the US lockstep a general counsel matches?

At the Bank of England 23 July 2026 spot of 1.332 dollars per pound, £110,000 converts to $146,520 against a $235,000 US first-year cell effective 1 July 2026. Bloomberg Law reported that lockstep on 17 June 2026. Different pipelines: SQE into the sterling cell, JD-and-bar into the dollar cell.

Does Mishcon de Reya publish associate salary by PQE?

No. A mid-PQE associate lockstep for Mishcon de Reya is not public and is not estimated here. The 23 July 2026 release printed NQ and trainee bases plus an extra-hours bonus ceiling. It did not print 1PQE-to-legal-director pounds.

What bonus sits on Mishcon associate pay in 2026?

Associates, Managing Associates and Of Counsel can earn up to 30 percent of base for exceptional hours, on top of the existing high-performer bonus, from July 2027. Law.com International Edition and The Global Legal Post reported the ceiling on 4 June 2026. Chargeable-hours expectations were not raised. Legal Cheek's firm card lists a 1,000-hour junior target.

What does Mishcon de Reya partner pay look like in 2026?

Partner pay is not a public 2026 cell. The Law Gazette reported on 21 July 2023 that the firm would no longer publish profit per equity partner. Legal Cheek's 2026 profile still lists PEP as undisclosed. FY2024/25 profit of £110 million is a firm total, not a partner drawing.

How long does a London associate search against this table take?

Typically 6 to 12 weeks on Sartori's London associate line, with a median 12 working days from offer to acceptance and a 93 percent completion rate across 33 closed searches over three years. Files that wait for a US lockstep match on a UK-qualified seat, or for an unpublished 4PQE band, run long.

NQ figures are annual base salary before bonus, as published. Mishcon de Reya does not publish a mid-PQE associate scale or a 2026 profit-per-equity-partner cell. The extra-hours bonus is a percentage ceiling from July 2027, not a guaranteed pounds award. The £33,000 extra-hours illustration is 30 percent of the published NQ base, not a disclosed payout. Conversion of £110,000 to $146,520 and of $235,000 to £176,426 uses the Bank of England 23 July 2026 spot of 1.332. ACC medians are US in-house cash, not UK general-counsel bands. FY2024/25 profit of £110 million is a firm total, not a partner drawing. Desk destinations are counted from the 3 September 2026 retention release with names stripped.

Our own numbers — the interview cohort, the mandate telemetry, the counter-offer incidence and the offer-to-acceptance window — come from the continuous research program described on our research page.
