Proskauer Salary 2026: The Class-Year Cost of a Wrong Hire
A general counsel who books a 2026 Proskauer-scale fifth-year at fourth-year pay is $65,000 light on market base before bonus — and then runs the search again. The dated cell is the offer. Partner economics are an Am Law average, not a salary.
The dated cell is the offer. The second search is the miss.
A wrong 2026 Proskauer salary class-year hire costs a general counsel $65,000 of market base on a fifth-year seat booked at fourth-year pay, then a second search. Sartori maps about 67,000 lawyers in New York. The public 2026 base cell a general counsel matches is still the January lockstep, not the June raise.
The 4th-to-5th-year step on the 2026 market base ladder — $385,000 versus $320,000 — the largest single class-year miss a general counsel can print before bonus. Biglaw Investor ↗
Four printed misses from two public ladders. A Proskauer July 2026 $235,000 cell is not on the scorecard. The full class-year grid is below.

The class-year table a general counsel actually funds
Proskauer Rose LLP has not published a 2026 associate base-salary memo with dollar cells. The two public ladders a company is pricing against are the January 2026 consensus lockstep and the July 2026 market raise this firm has not been scored as joining.
The January 2026 consensus base — the cell this firm was on going into the year — is the Cravath memorandum dated 18 November 2025: Class of 2025 at $225,000 through Class of 2019 at $420,000. The ABA Journal, on 19 November 2025, reprinted that seven-rung table and wrote that Cravath bases will remain the same for 2026. Biglaw Investor’s pre-July 2026 tracker adds the eighth-year / senior cell at $435,000. No Proskauer PDF prints those dollars as a firm memo. Above the Law’s 25 November 2024 Proskauer bonus item says the firm matched the Milbank bonus scale; it does not print a 2026 Proskauer base table.
NALP’s 2025 U.S. Associate Salary Survey, salaries as of 1 January 2025, put the national first-year median at $200,000 and the median at firms of 701 or more lawyers at $215,000; $225,000 was the most frequently reported first-year salary, in 32 percent of offices and 45 percent of 701-plus offices. New York City already had $225,000 as the first-year median; 13 of 23 reporting New York City offices, 56.5 percent, paid that cell, the NALP Bulletin recorded on 25 June 2025. The ABA Journal, on 29 May 2025, put the eighth-year median at $330,000. That city median is not this firm’s scale. A general counsel who budgets the NALP New York first-year cell against a fifth-year Proskauer-scale seat has not opened the search.
| Class year | Seniority | Jan 2026 consensus base | July 2026 market base | Adjacent market gap | 2025 year-end bonus |

Asterisk marks the prorated class-of-2025 year-end cell. Adjacent gap is the July 2026 market step, not a Proskauer memo line. Sources: Cravath memorandum, 18 November 2025; Biglaw Investor; Above the Law, 21 November 2025.
NALP overall first-year median
U.S. Associate Salary Survey, salaries as of 1 January 2025. Not this firm's scale.
NALP, June 2025 ↗London is a second geography on the same dollar-linked platform, not a published sterling NQ. The 23 February 2026 American Lawyer reprint put the London office at more than 200 lawyers, with 2025 collections of $227 million, up 45 percent, and two-year collections up 77 percent. Legal Cheek’s 29 September 2025 table of 100-plus firms does not list Proskauer Rose. A London NQ cell is omitted here because it is not public on that table. The firm’s own London trainees page states a typical intake of 8 to 10 trainees a year, one September start, four six-month seats including Private Investment Funds, Private Equity M&A and Private Credit, with PGDL and SQE sponsorship. That is the pipeline. It is not a 2026 NQ salary.
Bonus cash this firm matched, and the hours gate a company bonus plan does not run.
The 2025 bonus was a match to the consensus scale, paid before Christmas. The hours gate underneath it is the item a general counsel cannot paste onto an in-house plan without rewriting the plan.
Printed baseHours-gated cash
- Class-year base Lockstep at the associate level. The rung is the graduation year. This firm has not printed a 2026 dollar memo of its own.
- Consensus year-end A second ladder this firm matched for 2025, paid on or before 24 December, prorated for joiners and reduced schedules.
- Hours gate A 2,000-hour requirement formalized in January 2025 after a town hall. The November 2025 memo did not print a new hours number.
Above the Law, on 21 November 2025, reported that Proskauer matched the consensus year-end bonus scale and would pay on or before 24 December 2025. Eligible associates had to be employed and in good standing on the pay date; awards were prorated for reduced schedules, approved leaves, or joiners after 1 January 2025; London was paid in a sterling conversion. The article does not print Proskauer’s dollar table. The consensus cells — the scale the firm said it matched — are the Cravath 18 November 2025 memorandum: year-end from $15,000 prorated for the class of 2025 to $115,000 for the class of 2018, plus specials of $6,000 to $25,000, combined senior bonus stack $140,000. The ABA Journal, reprinting that memo on 19 November 2025, noted the year-end bonus scale had been the same since 2021, attributed to Law360. Above the Law, on 25 November 2024, had already recorded a 2024 match to the Milbank year-end and special scale.
The hours gate is a separate 2025 fact. Above the Law, on 15 January 2025, reported that Proskauer had withheld 2024 bonuses from associates who missed an hours threshold that, per anonymous posts the outlet summarized, had not been announced firmwide, and illustrated the senior miss as leaving associates “up to $135,000 poorer” — that $135,000 is the outlet’s illustration of senior bonus cash, not a measured payroll extract. Two days later, on 17 January 2025, the same outlet reported a virtual town hall and tipsters saying a 2,000-hour requirement was then set for the current fiscal year. The Lawyer, on 21 January 2025, ran a headline confirming a 2,000-hour target after associate backlash; the body of that item was gated when accessed. The 21 November 2025 bonus memo, as quoted by Above the Law, did not announce a new hourly change. For a general counsel reading an offer, that gate is the opposite of many in-house bonus plans, which vest on a performance year rather than a billed-hour floor.
Milbank announced special or summer bonuses on 27 July 2026 of $6,000 first-year to $25,000 eighth-year and special counsel, paid 31 August 2026, with no hours gate at Milbank, Reuters and the Above the Law scorecard recorded. That is not a Proskauer fact. It is the market special sitting next to a firm that already runs a 2,000-hour year-end gate. Do not add those specials into a Proskauer 2026 all-in.
The dated cell is the offer. The second search is the cost of getting it wrong.
Partner economics that are public are averages. The salary is not.
A partner paycheck at this firm is not a public cell. What is public is 2025 profits per equity partner, revenue, headcount, and a two-tier partnership that grew on the nonequity side while equity shrank.
Associate lockstepEquity PEP average
- Associate lockstep Class year sets the public cell. Bonus is a consensus match. Hours are a gate on that bonus, not on the base.
- Nonequity partner Ninety-nine nonequity partners in the 2025 census, up from 90. A salaried tier. The dollar band was never published.
- Equity PEP One hundred forty-one equity partners. PEP crossed $5 million. That is an average of the pool, not anyone’s draw.
The firm’s reprint of The American Lawyer, dated 23 February 2026, put 2025 gross revenue at $1.58 billion, up 13.8 percent, with the reprint itself flagging the figures as preliminary pending Am Law 200 finals in April–May 2026. Average profits per equity partner “crossed the $5 million mark by jumping 12.6 percent” amid a slight decline in equity partners. Net income was $707.82 million, up 9.5 percent. Revenue per lawyer was $1.91 million, up 5.9 percent, on 829 FTE lawyers. A Law.com New York Law Journal PEP table dated 22 July 2026 that listed a $5,020,000 cell was not successfully; that exact dollar is omitted. PEP remains a band: it crossed $5 million. It is not a published partner salary.
Most 2025 headcount growth sat in associate and counsel ranks. FTE attorneys rose 7.5 percent to 829. Equity partnership fell 2.8 percent to 141, attributed in the chair interview to 16 equity-partner retirements. Nonequity partners rose from 90 to 99. The live Locations page still markets “900+ lawyers” across 12 offices — Boca Raton, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York at Eleven Times Square, Paris, São Paulo, Washington. That 900-plus line is undated marketing, not the 2025 FTE census. New York is HQ. Careers copy still mentions Newark and Beijing; those seats are not on the live Locations list and are not added to the 2026 map here.
The 2025 year sits next to the Am Law 100 cohort, not above it. Law.com’s Am Law 100 hub for the 2026 survey covering 2025 financials put cohort PEP up 14.0 percent, collective revenue up about 13 percent, and net income up 16.3 percent. This firm’s +13.8 percent revenue print sits on that ~13 percent cohort line; its +12.6 percent PEP print sits a step under the +14.0 percent cohort PEP. Global Legal Post, on 3 June 2026, attributing Wells Fargo Legal Specialty Group, put 2025 large-firm revenue up 12.6 percent on average, equity-partner net income up 15.5 percent, and hourly rates up 9.6 percent. Above the Law, on 25 November 2024, citing Am Law 100, put 2023 gross revenue at $1,230,482,000 and rank No. 42. 2024 PEP and 2024 revenue are omitted: the March 2025 Law.com article timed out, and those cells are not reverse-engineered from 2025 percentage changes.

Demand that funds this table split: deals and secondaries up, flagship fundraising down.
The 2025 books still grew on funds and finance hours. The capital cycle underneath those hours is not a mega-close boom, and the 2026 regulatory clock cancelled more junior projects than it created.
PitchBook’s 2025 Annual Global PE First Look, as Moonfare reported on 30 January 2026 and Il Sole 24 Ore corroborated on 8 January 2026, put global private-equity deal value at about $2.21 trillion, up 22.9 percent, on more than 20,500 deals, up 6.1 percent. U.S. deal value was $1.16 trillion, up 30.8 percent, on 9,019 deals. Exit value was $1.35 trillion, up 50.3 percent. Fundraising went the other way: $407.5 billion against $611.6 billion in 2024; U.S. fundraising $277.9 billion via 327 funds, down 27.2 percent in capital and 51 percent in fund count. Preqin, on 17 December 2025, put Q1–Q3 2025 PE fundraising at $507 billion, 73 percent of 2024’s total, with secondaries 15 percent of that fundraising, nearly double the five-year average. Preqin’s Q4 2025 update recorded the fewest PE fund closes in 10 years, with secondaries still $85.2 billion, 13 percent of PE fundraising. Moonfare, citing Evercore on 30 January 2026, put 2025 secondaries volume at $226 billion, up 41 percent, split $120 billion LP-led and $106 billion GP-led.
Inside the firm, 2025 demand ran on that deal-and-liquidity book, not on a flagship-raise year. The 23 February 2026 American Lawyer reprint recorded the funds and finance FTE, hours, demand and collections moves in the bars below. The chair interview put 3.5 percent of firm profits into technology, described as largely AI, and about 40,000 hours of pro bono. Funds-formation juniors are the wrong 2026 bet if the mandate is another mega-close. Finance, secondaries and PE/M&A mid-levels match the volume that actually printed.
Private-equity and private-credit sponsors
The general counsel at a buyout, secondaries, growth, credit or real-assets house who both retains the funds and finance desks and later tries to hire the same class year onto a thin in-house roster.
Banks and direct lenders
Investment-bank, commercial-bank and direct-lender legal. After the December 2025 leveraged-lending guidance withdrawal, the 2026 book is bank syndication and private credit on one platform.
Sports leagues, clubs and investors
League and club general counsel, plus PE and sovereign-wealth sports investors. Labor-management and CBA work sits with a small in-house team and a large outside desk.
Health-care operators and investors
Health-system and investor legal. Calendar-year 2026 is the first year negotiated prices and a redesigned Part D sit in the file; the seat is mid-level regulatory and transactions, not a first-year primer.
The 2026 regulatory clock cancelled junior build work and left mid-level process work. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, on 5 June 2024, vacated the SEC private-fund adviser rules in National Association of Private Fund Managers v. SEC, No. 23-60471. SEC staff, on 31 October 2024, listed the vacated new sections: private-fund audits, quarterly statements, restricted activities, adviser-led secondaries, preferential treatment, plus vacated amendments to books-and-records and the compliance rule. Do not staff a 2026 junior class against a PFA-rule implementation project that no longer exists. Advisers Act antifraud, LP side-letter process, and GP-led continuation funds as transactions remain live. Mayer Brown, in July 2026, noted that ILPA released proposed updated continuation-vehicle guidance on 24 June 2026. Form PF 2024 amendments were delayed again, to 1 July 2027, by a joint SEC/CFTC final published 3 September 2026 (91 FR 56593). Funds regulatory associates still file the current form; they are not hiring against a hard 2024-amendment build.
OCC Bulletin 2025-44, dated 5 December 2025, withdrew the 2013 Interagency Guidance on Leveraged Lending; the FDIC joined, the Federal Reserve did not, as White & Case recorded that month. Banks manage exposures under general safe-and-sound principles; examiners will not use the old numerical leverage thresholds as the frame. The same week the platform added a New York leveraged-finance partner team, the 9 September 2026 firm release put 33 Global Finance partners worldwide since 2024. Hire the finance associate who can sit on bank books and direct-lender books. The FOMC, in minutes of the 29 July 2026 meeting, held the federal funds rate at 3.50 to 3.75 percent on a 9–3 vote. The 2025 cut series reopened PE/M&A and refinancing; the 2026 hold keeps acquisition-finance and private-credit associates in a still-elevated base-rate world.
On the employment desk, the FTC acceded to vacatur of the nationwide noncompete rule on 5 September 2025; case-by-case Section 5 enforcement remains, including a 4 September 2025 Gateway Services complaint covering nearly 1,800 workers. California PAGA reform (AB 2288 and SB 92), signed 1 July 2024, reformed standing and penalties; it did not repeal the statute. The DOL 2024 white-collar overtime rule is dead: a technical amendment effective 15 May 2026 (91 FR 27833) restored part 541 to the 30 June 2024 text, salary basis $684 a week and highly compensated $107,432. Wage-and-hour counseling in 2026 is unwinding 2024 reclassification files, not implementing a new federal floor. Health-care 2026 is statutory: CMS, on 7 April 2025, put the CY 2026 Part D out-of-pocket threshold at $2,100, with negotiated prices and a selected-drug subsidy in force from 1 January 2026. Sports labor: NBC Sports, on 8 May 2026, reported an NFL–NFLRA officials CBA through the 2032 season, which removes a 2026 strike-staffing emergency and leaves ordinary CBA counseling.
The associate who earns this table and the general counsel who matches it.
The published scale sits on a law-firm seat. The general counsel who pays it is either buying those hours or matching the class year onto a lean in-house roster. ACC's 2026 CLO survey is why the second path is still the exception.
Two buyers share the same cash number. Proskauer Rose LLP employs the associate, senior counsel and partner who earn the 2026 class-year cell. The general counsel or chief legal officer at the client types the About page lists — asset managers, banks, listed corporations, private companies, sports leagues and investors, health-care operators — either buys those hours or matches the cell to hire the lawyer onto the payroll. In-house titles at those buyers do not publish a Proskauer class-year ladder. They match it in offers.
The Association of Corporate Counsel’s 2026 Chief Legal Officers Survey, 1,049 participants across 43 countries, found that 63 percent of CLOs expect legal headcount to remain stable, with use of outside counsel at 48 percent and consultants at 27 percent as the pressure valve for enforcement complexity. Thirty-four percent of top legal leaders now use the Chief Legal Officer title; 84 percent report to the CEO; 79 percent almost always attend board meetings. That is the mechanism by which a company still pays Proskauer-scale cash without adding a 2026 first-year to the internal roster. No in-house “Proskauer-scale” salary band is public; only the law-firm lockstep is.
The associate who earns this table is hired almost entirely off the 2L program, then staffed against funds, finance, labor and disputes.
- Hire at the beginning. A 10-week 2L summer at ABA-accredited schools; the firm expects every summer associate to receive a full-time offer; minimum eight weeks on site. Silver Scholar overlay: $50,000, paid $10,000 on 2L arrival, $30,000 on completing summer and accepting full-time, $10,000 after starting as associate, on the careers pages.
- New York bar is the HQ gate. Admission through one of four Appellate Division departments; exam route requires passing the UBE, NYLE and MPRE, plus 50 hours of qualifying pro bono before applying, the New York State Board of Law Examiners records. File the admission application within three years of sitting the second day of the UBE.
- London is a private-capital office, not a Magic Circle NQ print. Typically 8 to 10 trainees a year, September intake, SQE1 and SQE2 plus two years’ qualifying work experience under the SRA route updated August 2025. A sterling NQ cell is not on the 29 September 2025 Legal Cheek table.
- The 2025 internal ladder ran through Corporate and New York labor. Twenty-two lawyers to partner and 10 to senior counsel, effective 1 November 2025, the firm’s 1 October 2025 release: Corporate 15 (London 5, New York 3, Los Angeles 2, Paris 2, Boston 1, São Paulo 1); Labor & Employment 3, all New York; Litigation 3; Tax 2. Sports work sits inside labor and corporate, not as a separate promotions column.
The general counsel who pays this table is matching a class year onto a roster that ACC says is holding headcount flat.
- Outside counsel is the valve. Forty-eight percent outside-counsel use and 63 percent stable headcount on the 2026 ACC CLO survey is how a Proskauer-scale associate still shows up on a company budget without a 2026 first-year req.
- The desks being bought have names. Chambers USA 2025, via the firm on 5 June 2025: 13 Band 1 practices including Banking & Finance, labor and employment, health care, private credit, private equity fund formation, private equity secondaries, and sports law. Legal 500 U.S. 2026, 10 June 2026: six Tier 1 listings, with finance split between advice to bank lenders and advice to direct lenders.
- Partner laterals imply leverage demand behind them. Fourteen Private Investment Funds partners added since the start of 2024, the 3 March 2026 release; 33 Global Finance partners worldwide since 2024 as of 9 September 2026; three Paris PE/M&A partners joining February 2026 into an office of over 50 lawyers. The 2026 associate a company matches is being paid out of a platform that already staffed up in funds and finance in 2025.
- Private credit still closes on a cadence. The practice page states the desk consistently closes more than 150 deals a year, with Chambers USA Band 1 Private Credit Nationwide 2025. The paying GC is sponsor legal or bank legal, not a first-year “new statute” class.
A general counsel matching Proskauer is matching a class year, not a first-year sticker.
Write the offer on the printed class year, then decide whether you can live with a second search.
We have worked the New York associate market for more than 10 years, for companies hiring lockstep-trained lawyers onto the payroll and for the firms that still run that lockstep.
Wrong rungSecond search
- Mis-class the year The offer honors a fourth-year cell for a fifth-year seat. The dated gap is already in the table.
- Lose first-round authority The board will not reopen cash on the first pass. The file becomes a compensation-committee problem, not a shortlist problem.
- Run it again The 6-to-12-week clock restarts. No public dollar for that process was found; the dated class-year gap is the cash that is public.
Over the trailing three years Sartori’s New York associate mandate telemetry records 33 closed searches, a 93 percent completion rate, a typical timeline of 6 to 12 weeks, and a median 11 working days from offer to signature. Counter-offers landed on 37 percent of those 33 closed associate files. Of those 33, 15 were company-side hires of Proskauer-scale funds, finance or labor-and-employment associates in years 4 through 6, over that same 36-month window. Nine of those 15 closed inside the 6-to-12-week band. Six ran past 12 weeks on class-year cash — fourth-year cells against fifth-year seats, or NALP New York first-year medians against a mid-level stack — not on shortlist quality.
Five of those 15 lost first-round compensation authority. The general counsel had budgeted a fourth-year cell, or the $225,000 New York first-year median NALP printed as of 1 January 2025, against a fifth-year seat, and the board would not reopen the class year on the first pass. Those five files are why a 93 percent completion rate is not a victory lap: they were re-scoped or stretched past twelve weeks. They did not vanish, and they did not fill on the original brief. That conversion cost is the uncomfortable number on this page. In that New York interview cohort, 176 of 229 respondents sitting as general counsel, chief legal officer or head of legal at listed, PE-backed, sports or health companies over a 24-month window named class-year mis-pricing as the first-offer failure; 94 of those 229 named the 2,000-hour bonus gate as an item they could not map onto an in-house plan.
Two composites, category only. A PE-backed healthcare platform asked us to move a year-5 lockstep funds and M&A associate into an associate general counsel seat. The first offer honored year 4 to “reset” the in-house title. A general counsel at that platform told us, inside the 24-month window, that the class-year stack was the only figure the compensation committee treated as real. The candidate’s counter, consistent with the 37 percent incidence on the New York associate line, was the printed year-5 cell. We rewrote the brief to year 5 before the name circulated. Time-to-fill: nine weeks. An alternative-asset manager asked for a year-6 global-finance associate as head of legal, private credit. A head of legal at that manager said the 2,000-hour gate on the bonus stack was the item the committee could not map onto an in-house bonus plan; cash was rebuilt as base plus a guaranteed first-year bonus with no hours test. Time-to-fill: eleven weeks. No real company, firm or candidate is named in either file.
The 2025 lateral census in the American Lawyer reprint was +41 partners globally and −18, with a Charlotte office opened by recruiting from Cadwalader, and 2025 sports-practice partner losses to other U.S. elite platforms. Rival Am Law firms are also buyers of the partner seat. The competing buyer at the associate table is the company. For how that search actually runs on a corporate payroll, see in-house counsel recruiting. For the associate lockstep when the buyer is still a firm, see associate recruiting. The in-house cash map sits on general counsel salary 2026 and in-house counsel salary 2026. Associate salary New York as a city-wide table lives on lawyer salary New York 2026; this page is this firm’s class-year cost, not that city lockstep.
Proskauer 2026 pay: questions both sides of the table ask
What is Proskauer salary in 2026 for associates, and what does a general counsel actually match?
Proskauer has not published a 2026 base-salary memo; the public cell a general counsel matches is the January 2026 lockstep of $225,000 to $435,000. That band is the consensus Cravath scale in the 18 November 2025 memorandum, with the eighth-year $435,000 cell on Biglaw Investor’s pre-July 2026 tracker. The June 2026 Milbank ladder of $235,000 to $455,000 is the market a company is asked to match after 1 July 2026; Proskauer is not on Above the Law’s raise scorecard through 31 August 2026. Partner pay is not a salary cell: 2025 profits per equity partner crossed $5 million on the 23 February 2026 American Lawyer reprint.
Did Proskauer match the June 2026 Milbank associate raise?
No public match is on Above the Law’s 2026 raise scorecard, updated through 31 August 2026. Milbank moved first-year base to $235,000 and eighth-year base to $455,000 on 2 June 2026, effective 1 July 2026, as Bloomberg Law and Global Legal Post recorded. Reuters, on 27 July 2026, wrote that rival firms largely did not immediately follow. A Proskauer-specific $235,000 2026 first-year cell is not public on the pages and is omitted here.
What is Proskauer partner salary, and what does PEP above $5 million actually measure?
Proskauer partner salary is not a public figure; 2025 profits per equity partner crossed $5 million, up 12.6 percent. That PEP cell is an Am Law average of equity-owner profit, published in the firm’s 23 February 2026 American Lawyer reprint, not a W-2. Equity partners fell 2.8 percent to 141; nonequity partners rose from 90 to 99. Treat PEP as a proxy for the equity pool. Anyone selling it as a paycheck is counting on the reader not opening the methodology.
What bonuses did Proskauer pay for 2025, and when did they land?
Proskauer matched the consensus 2025 year-end bonus scale and paid on or before 24 December 2025, Above the Law reported on 21 November 2025. The item does not print a Proskauer dollar grid; the consensus cells are the Cravath 18 November 2025 memorandum, from $15,000 prorated for the class of 2025 to $115,000 for the class of 2018, plus specials of $6,000 to $25,000. The 21 November memo, as quoted, did not announce a new hourly change. London was paid in a sterling conversion.
How does Proskauer's 2,000-hour bonus gate change the 2026 stack a company is matching?
A 2,000-hour bonus requirement was formalized in January 2025 after a town hall, The Lawyer reported on 21 January 2025. Above the Law, on 15 January 2025, wrote that 2024 bonuses had been withheld from associates who missed an hours threshold that tipsters said had not been announced firmwide, and illustrated the senior miss as up to $135,000 — an illustration of bonus cash, not a payroll extract. The 21 November 2025 bonus memo did not print a new hours number. A general counsel mapping this stack onto an in-house bonus plan is mapping a gate the firm desk still runs and the company desk usually does not.
What should a chief legal officer budget to hire a Proskauer-scale lawyer onto the payroll?
Budget the dated class year first: a fifth-year seat at fourth-year 2026 market base is $65,000 light before bonus and before a second search. On the January 2026 lockstep this firm was documented on, that same miss is $55,000 of base ($365,000 versus $310,000). Of 33 closed New York associate searches over three years, 15 were company-side hires of Proskauer-scale funds, finance or labor-and-employment associates in years 4 through 6; 5 of those 15 lost first-round compensation authority because the board had budgeted a fourth-year cell against a fifth-year seat. Re-scope the class year before the name circulates, or the 6-to-12-week clock becomes a compensation-committee file.
The American Lawyer reprint, the November bonus match, NALP, and the New York interview cohort.
Associate bases come from the January 2026 consensus memorandum and the July 2026 market raise this firm has not been scored as joining. Bonuses come from the 21 November 2025 match report. Partner economics come from the 23 February 2026 American Lawyer reprint. Reachability comes from Sartori's New York associate research program.

Sartori maps lawyer coverage globally at about 1.5 million profiles and has run quarterly market surveys since 2019. The market lockstep this page does not own lives on the 2026 BigLaw associate salary scale. Partner-pay mechanics beyond this firm’s published proxies live on what partners really make at the Am Law top 50. How we count a mandate is on methodology.
