Ropes & Gray Salary 2026: Associate Scale, Bonus and Partner Pay
Boston.com still listed a 2026 first-year at $225,000 on 31 July 2026. That cell covers U.S. partnership-track associates. It does not count the in-house seats companies staff from this firm. This page is for the associate who earns the print and the general counsel who has to match it.
The dated print is a U.S. associate cell. It is not an in-house census.
A general counsel matching a 2026 Ropes & Gray salary is matching a listed U.S. first-year of $225,000, reported by Boston.com on 31 July 2026, not a headcount of company seats. Sartori maps roughly 3,500 lawyers in Boston. In that city's interview cohort, 91 of 138 in-house hiring managers — general counsel, chief legal officer, deputy, or head of legal — over a 24-month window named the listed lockstep cell, not profits per equity partner, as the figure they had to defend to a compensation committee.
Boston.com, on 31 July 2026, reported that Ropes listed a 2026 first-year base of $225,000 and had not publicly announced a match of the $235,000 floor. A listed cell. Not a confirmed July match.

Four censuses, one of them blank. The market lockstep itself belongs to a separate scale page; this page owns this firm’s public print. The dated cells are below.
- $3.737B
- Ropes 2025 gross revenue, rank 7 on the 2026 Am Law 100 — up 9.39 percent, the capital stack behind the listed cell.
- Above the Law recap of the 2026 Am Law 100, 15 April 2026
- $2.524M
- Revenue per lawyer on the same 2025 print, rank 5 — up 8.33 percent. Not an associate paycheck.
- Above the Law, 15 April 2026
- £170,000
- London newly qualified solicitor base from 1 January 2026 — a sterling payroll, not the U.S. listing.
- The Lawyer, 10 March 2026; RollOnFriday, 13 March 2026
Revenue and revenue per lawyer are the 2026 Am Law 100 print for 2025, not a paycheck. The sterling NQ is a different payroll from the U.S. listing. Sartori’s global research program maps nearly 1.5 million lawyer profiles and has run quarterly market surveys since 2019; the Boston desk is one city cut of that file.
Two first-year floors now sit on the same hire.
The published Ropes & Gray associate salary story in 2026 is a listed U.S. first-year plus a bonus grid. The June market floor sits $10,000 above that listing. The firm has not published a match.
Boston.com, on 31 July 2026, reported that Ropes listed a 2026 first-year associate base of $225,000 on its website and did not respond when asked whether that figure remained current after the 1 July 2026 market raise. The same article named Ropes among Boston firms that had not publicly announced a match of the $235,000 first-year floor. The firm recruiting disclosure page itself could not be retrieved; the remainder of any class-year U.S. base ladder is therefore omitted.
The market floor those Boston firms were being asked about was set elsewhere. Above the Law, on 2 June 2026, reported that Milbank raised associate bases $10,000 to $20,000 by class year, effective 1 July 2026. Bloomberg Law, on 17 June 2026, and David Lat, on 18 June 2026, stated the new scale starts at $235,000 for first-years and tops out at $455,000 for eighth-years, adopted by more than a dozen firms within two weeks. That ladder is the 2026 market lockstep. It is not this firm’s published 2026 letter. The wider lockstep lives on our BigLaw associate salary scale for 2026.
NALP’s 2025 U.S. Associate Salary Survey, as of 1 January 2025 and released on 28 May 2025, put the overall median first-year base at $200,000 and the median in firms of more than 700 lawyers at $215,000. The figure $225,000 was the modal print — 32 percent of 437 responding offices, and 45 percent of offices in firms of 701 or more lawyers. Six of 19 cities in that report had a median starting salary of $225,000, including Boston and New York City. The Ropes listing, six months later, still sat on that modal cell. The June market had moved.

NALP 2025 U.S. Associate Salary Survey ↗What a Ropes & Gray salary actually covers once bonus is in the paper.
The 20 November 2025 memo is the last fully dated bonus print. It covers U.S.-scale partnership-track associates who hit 1,900 creditable hours. In the Boston interview cohort, 44 of 81 in-house respondents on the associate-hiring question, across four quarterly survey waves from the third quarter of 2025 through the second quarter of 2026, said they had no working census of how many of their lawyers had come from this firm.
What the memo paysWhat it does not count
- U.S. lockstep associates Partnership-track seats on the U.S. payroll. Year-end and special bonuses, hours-gated.
- London NQ and counsel Sterling base plus a hybrid top-up for those who hit prescribed targets. A different instrument.
- Equity partners PEP and draws on a firm census. Not a class-year bonus cell and not an in-house offer.
- Company-side seats Sponsor general counsel, portfolio-company counsel, issuer first general counsel. Documented as types. Not counted.
Cravath announced 2025 year-end and special bonuses on 18 November 2025, as reported by Above the Law. New York and D.C. associates on that memo had no hours requirement; London associates were paid a week later. That memo set the scale U.S. lockstep firms were matching. Two days later, on 20 November 2025, Above the Law reported that Ropes announced a Cravath match for year-end bonuses and a Milbank match for special bonuses, with a 1,900 creditable-hour minimum. Ropes also printed a Class of 2017 and senior year-end cell of $130,000. Above the Law’s 2025 bonus scorecard lists the same Ropes row; its date cell prints “November 20, 2024” against a 2025 table — treat the companion 20 November 2025 article as the dated match.
| Class year | Year-end bonus | Special bonus | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Class of 2025 | $15,000 | $6,000 | special prorated |
| Class of 2024 | $20,000 | $6,000 | U.S. partnership-track |
| Class of 2023 | $30,000 | $10,000 | U.S. partnership-track |
| Class of 2022 | $57,500 | $15,000 | U.S. partnership-track |
| Class of 2021 | $75,000 | $20,000 | U.S. partnership-track |
| Class of 2020 | $90,000 | $25,000 | U.S. partnership-track |
| Class of 2019 | $105,000 | $25,000 | U.S. partnership-track |
| Class of 2018 | $115,000 | $25,000 | U.S. partnership-track |
| Class of 2017+ | $130,000 | $25,000 | Ropes year-end cell |
Source: Above the Law, 20 November 2025. Class of 2025 year-end plus special, as printed, sums to $21,000 before the 150 percent language. That sum is arithmetic on the published cells, not a reported payout.
Destination types are documented. The headcount is omitted.
The associate earns a cell. The general counsel writes the matching offer.
The lawyers on this scale sit in two markets that share clients and swap talent. Chambers USA 2026 ranks the Massachusetts desks Band 1 in antitrust, banking and finance, capital markets, corporate/M&A, employee benefits, health care, hedge and mutual funds, and life sciences. Those are the seats a company is buying when it hires from this platform, or when it staffs the same work inside.
Firm PE deskIssuer general counsel
- The law-firm seat Private equity, private funds, leveraged finance, life sciences, health care, litigation and enforcement. The published scale lives here.
- The sponsor legal desk Partner and General Counsel; General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer; Group General Counsel, M&A and Investments. Same skill. Company payroll.
- The issuer seat First General Counsel and Board Secretary at a late-stage private biotechnology company. Law-firm training is the gate, not the title on the offer.
The U.S. lockstep and the London NQ are different payrolls that share a client book.
- U.S. partnership-track associates earn the listed first-year and, if they clear 1,900 creditable hours, the November 2025 bonus cells. Counsel and staff attorneys are not on that memo.
- London newly qualified solicitors moved to £170,000 from 1 January 2026. The Lawyer, on 10 March 2026, counted 24 trainees on four six-month seats annually, a training contract launched in 2011, and 100 percent retention on the September 2025 NQ intake. RollOnFriday, on 13 March 2026, put first-year trainees at £62,000 and second-year trainees at £67,000 from 1 September.
- The hybrid top-up is a firm statement, not a month-by-month U.S. cash print: London associates and counsel who hit prescribed targets receive a salary top-up toward U.S. pay and bonus from the first full year. The Solicitors Regulation Authority SQE route, page dated August 2025, still requires SQE1, SQE2, and two years of qualifying work experience. The 24-trainee machine is that vehicle.
The company-side buyer is a sponsor general counsel, a portfolio-company counsel, or a first in-house seat — not a law-firm hiring partner.
- Boston mega private-equity sponsors staff General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer seats from this platform, and send them back. Global Legal Insights, on 14 November 2025, and Bloomberg Law, on 13 November 2025, reported a Boston-headquartered global private-equity investor whose GC/CLO returned to the law firm as co-head of global private capital transactions on 1 December 2025, remaining interim external General Counsel during transition. Advent International’s programs page, accessed 11 September 2026, put AUM at $94 billion as of 31 March 2026 (GPE X $25 billion; Advent Tech II $4 billion; LAPEF VII $2 billion); the about page put AUM at $109 billion as of 30 June 2026, with 455+ investments.
- A standing Partner and General Counsel seat at another Boston mega sponsor, published on that employer’s people page, was filled from this firm’s private-equity and alternative-asset litigation partnership. Bain Capital’s homepage lists platforms in private equity, growth and venture including life sciences, capital solutions, credit, and real assets, with Boston headquarters at 200 Clarendon Street.
- A European mega-sponsor Group General Counsel, M&A and Investments moved onto the London PE desk, as reported by Nonbillable on 27 January 2026; the same piece stated the firm had advised that sponsor on its acquisition of Coller Capital, reported as $3.7 billion. The two-way door is the 2025–2026 fact. It is not a conversion rate.
- A late-stage private Boston biotechnology issuer advertised a first General Counsel in 2026: reports to the CEO, Board Secretary, SEC/FDA/PTO and capital-raising, outside-counsel panel management. The posting required a J.D., admission to at least one U.S. state bar, and a minimum of 20 years of corporate legal experience including law-firm training and in-house biotechnology or pharmaceutical work. That is a company gate. It does not name this firm. It is the in-house counterpart to Chambers’ Massachusetts Band 1 life sciences ranking.
Chambers Global 2026, firm-supplied, lists offices in Boston (Prudential Tower, 800 Boylston Street), New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C., London, Dublin, Paris, Milan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo. Paris opened earlier in 2025; Milan opened on 10 September 2025 as “Ropes & Gray Studio Legale,” stated as a private-equity and cross-border seat, per the firm’s PR Newswire release that day. District of Columbia Band 1 health care and Band 2 pharmaceutical/medical products regulatory, on Chambers USA 2026, is the regulatory overlay a biotech general counsel is buying. None of that is a headcount of alumni now sitting in-house.
Partner economics are public on 2024 results. The 2025 PEP cell is not.
Legal Business, on 17 December 2025, put 2024 profits per equity partner at $4.989 million on 298 equity partners. Above the Law, on 15 April 2026, recapped the 2026 Am Law 100 without placing Ropes in the published PEP top 10, whose floor in that recap is Milbank at $7.620 million. A 2025 PEP print is not in that recap.
The last full public partner census is the Legal Business Global 100 2025 main table, covering 2024: rank 8; total revenue $3,416 million, up 14.1 percent; profit margin 44 percent; revenue per lawyer $2,330,000; profit per lawyer $1,015,000; profits per equity partner $4.989 million, up 10.5 percent; lawyers 1,466; total partners 298; equity partners 298. Subtracting those 298 equity partners from 1,466 lawyers leaves 1,168 non-partner lawyers — associates, counsel, and other non-partner titles combined. The table does not split those titles. Band that non-partner population as about 1,150 to 1,200 on 2024 FTE. Do not read 1,466 as 1,466 people on the $225,000 listing.
The 2026 Am Law 100, covering 2025 performance and recapped by Above the Law on 15 April 2026, puts gross revenue at $3.737 billion, up 9.39 percent, rank 7, and revenue per lawyer at $2.524 million, up 8.33 percent, rank 5. Dividing those two published cells gives about 1,481 full-time-equivalent lawyers. That is arithmetic on two Am Law figures, not a separately published headcount. Am Law 100 PEP as a class was up 14 percent in 2025; David Lat, on 18 June 2026, put that class-wide PEP at $3.59 million. That class figure is not this firm’s 2025 PEP.
Law.com / The American Lawyer, on 10 April 2026, reported revenue growth of 9.4 percent and RPL growth of 8.3 percent in 2025, named asset management and real estate as growth contributors, and stated that the firm maintained a single-tier partnership internally but that, for the first time, a portion of the partnership was reported as nonequity under Am Law methodology. The body of that article is paywalled in the copy used here. The 2025 profits-per-equity-partner cell and the equity/nonequity split are not in the public text and are omitted. Chambers Global 2026 carries a firm-supplied round census of 300 partners and 1,500 lawyers. That is not the 1,466 / 1,481 FTE series.
| Census | Lawyers | Partners | PEP | As of |

Implied 2025 FTE is $3.737 billion divided by $2.524 million. Chambers figures are self-reported. The PEP league for the Am Law class belongs to partner pay in the Am Law 50, not to this firm’s scale page.
The scale is a talent cost. The work is a K-shaped capital cycle plus a harder rulebook.
Private-funds work lost a U.S. rulebook on 5 June 2024 and picked up a European one on 16 April 2026. Private-equity deal lawyers face a fundraising grind, a secondaries boom, and an antitrust overlay that now includes a proposed $250 million HSR penalty against a mega sponsor. That is mid-level to partner demand, not a first-year factory.
Vacated U.S. funds ruleLive European funds clock
- Funds rulebook The Fifth Circuit vacated the SEC private fund adviser rules. Advisers Act exams, Form PF, and LP negotiation remain.
- AIFMD II Member States had to transpose liquidity tools, loan-originating AIF rules, and reporting by mid-April. London, Dublin, Paris, Milan.
- Antitrust / HSR 2023 Merger Guidelines still frame roll-ups. 2026 size-of-transaction threshold reset. Item 4 collection is now a sponsor-GC cost.
- Health care / IRA CMS moved Medicare negotiation from guidance toward notice-and-comment. Life-sciences regulatory seats, not campus lockstep.
On 5 June 2024 the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, in National Association of Private Fund Managers v. SEC, No. 23-60471, vacated in full the SEC’s 23 August 2023 Private Fund Adviser Rules. U.S. private-funds associates and counsel lost a 2024–2025 implementation wave. They did not lose the desk. The Supreme Court, in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, decided 28 June 2024, overruled Chevron; litigation and enforcement seats that challenge or defend agency rules picked up work. Directive (EU) 2024/927, adopted 13 March 2024, required Member State transposition by 16 April 2026 on delegation, liquidity-risk management, supervisory reporting, depositary, and loan origination by AIFs — the same window in which this firm opened Paris and Milan PE offices.
The Department of Justice Antitrust Division page, accessed 11 September 2026, lists the 2023 Merger Guidelines as jointly released with the FTC on 18 December 2023, with an Acting Assistant Attorney General memorandum on their use dated 18 February 2025. Serial acquisitions below the Hart-Scott-Rodino threshold remain in the agencies’ published frame. The FTC, on 20 January 2026, set the 2026 minimum size-of-transaction threshold at $133.9 million, effective 17 February 2026, up from $126.4 million. The Federal Register, on 4 September 2026, published a proposed final judgment in United States v. KKR & Co. Inc. requiring a $250 million civil penalty for incomplete or inaccurate HSR filings alleged at least 16 times. That filing is a proposed judgment under the Tunney Act process, not a litigated verdict. Every PE platform’s antitrust desk and sponsor general counsel still has to re-audit Item 4 collection.
CMS, on 16 June 2026, proposed to codify the Inflation Reduction Act Negotiation Program for initial price applicability year 2029 after guidance authority for 2026 through 2028. That is the D.C. pharmaceutical and medical-products regulatory seat, and the Boston biotech general counsel who already named FDA and SEC on a first-GC posting. Treasury’s Outbound Investment Security Program took effect 2 January 2025; the COINS Act of 2025 was signed 18 December 2025 as Title LXXXV of the FY2026 NDAA, with new regulations due by 13 March 2027, as summarized by CRS on 26 March 2026. The EU AI Act, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, became applicable on 2 August 2026 with staged dates. Those clocks add diligence seats in Asia PE and privacy. They do not staff a large first-year class.
With Intelligence, on 6 May 2026, reported that private-equity managers raised $398 billion in 2025, down 14 percent year on year and more than 27 percent below 2023. Secondaries fundraising was a record over $93 billion, up 6.6 percent; the 20 largest buyout funds raised a combined $175 billion across 147 fund closes, over 55 percent of buyout capital; secondaries transaction volume was a record $240 billion, up 48 percent. Bain & Company’s Global Private Equity Report 2026 hub described 2025 deal and exit values as having surged while fundraising remained a grind — a K-shaped recovery. Preqin figures compiled in Paul, Weiss’s Q1 2026 briefing put global PE fundraising at $161.6 billion on 253 funds closed, the lowest quarterly count in five years. The Q2 2026 briefing put fundraising at $191.4 billion, with buyout at 72 percent of capital, average buyout fund size $1.023 billion, and Q4 2025 dry powder at $2.347 trillion. Flagship-sponsor PE and secondaries seats stay busy. Emerging-manager funds work thins. Staff fourth-to-sixth-year PE and funds lawyers, not a 2021-style first-year class, unless the firm is opening a city.
We close on the listed cell. We stall when the committee will not underwrite the hours gate.
We have worked the Boston associate market for 8 years, for companies that need to put a lockstep-scale lawyer on their own payroll and for firms that still pay the listed cell. Over the last three years we closed 26 associate searches at a 93 percent completion rate, on a typical 6 to 12 week timeline, with a 38 percent counter-offer incidence and a median of 10 working days from offer to acceptance.
Of those 26 closed Boston associate searches, 12 were company-side seats. Eight of those 12 were priced against a named lockstep letter. Seven of those eight were private-equity sponsor, funds, or life-sciences issuer desks — the same practice labels Chambers ranks in Massachusetts. Fourteen of the 26 were firm-side; nine of those 14 sat in private equity, funds, or asset management.
The finding that does not flatter us: of 17 company-side associate processes over a 24-month window, 5 stalled after the compensation committee refused hours-gated all-in. Those five never joined the 26 closed files. We took the mandate, ran the shortlist, and still could not place it. A signing bonus does not rewrite a compensation-committee paper. In the same Boston interview cohort, a general counsel at a Boston-headquartered mega private-equity sponsor told us they underwrite the listed lockstep cell plus a short-term incentive, because PEP is not a hiring number. A head of legal at a clinical-stage Boston biotechnology company told us the internal Senior Counsel band could not see a fifth-year all-in after the 1,900-hour bonus, and the search died on paper.
A PE-backed healthcare platform. A portfolio company asked for an Associate General Counsel with a sponsor-side M&A diet, priced internally against Senior Attorney cash. The shortlist was fourth-year corporate associates on a Ropes-scale or peer letter. The compensation committee cleared the listed first-year as a floor and refused to underwrite hours-gated senior all-in. We retitled the seat, moved incentive cash, and closed in ten working days — the same median the Boston associate telemetry records — on a fourth-year. The fifth-years stayed. Class-year credit, not the headline first-year, was the number that mattered.
A clinical-stage biotechnology issuer. A Boston head of legal needed a deputy who had already seen FDA and SEC paper. The internal band topped at Senior Counsel. A fifth-year on a lockstep letter declined after the stay counter cleared the bonus-gated cell and the in-house paper could not. That file is one of the five company-side processes that stalled. The constraint was the committee, not the shortlist. The live first-GC posting in this market asking for 20 years of combined law-firm and in-house biotech experience is the other end of the same stack: companies hire this talent later, and they title the seat so the band can clear it.
A mega-sponsor legal desk in transition. After a General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer returned to a PE platform as practice co-head while remaining interim external GC, the sponsor still needed a sitting chief legal officer on the company payroll. We closed that search inside the 6 to 12 week Boston associate-and-counsel window because the band had been built to lockstep cash before anyone was approached. The two-way door is not a reason to lowball the replacement. It is a reason to price the seat as the firm prices the same lawyer.
A signing bonus does not rewrite a compensation-committee paper.
Underwrite the listed cell. Title the seat so the band can clear the seniority you actually need.
A general counsel, chief legal officer, or head of legal matching this print is matching a class year and an hours gate, not a first-year rumor and not PEP. Build the in-house stack to the seniority you need, or the search will fail on paper rather than on people.
If you are the associate reading the listed first-year, the cell you earn as of 31 July 2026 is $225,000 until a new memo exists; bonus is hours-gated and the 150 percent line is not a reported payout. If you are in London, the NQ base from 1 January 2026 is £170,000 plus a hybrid top-up that is a firm statement, not a U.S. cash print. If you are an equity partner, the last full public PEP cell is the 2024 $4.989 million average on 298 equity partners; the 2025 cell is not public.
If you are the general counsel who has to put that lawyer on a company payroll, three decisions come before a shortlist. First, which census you are matching: the listed U.S. first-year, the hours-gated bonus, the sterling NQ, or partner economics. Second, which seniority you actually need — a first-year listing will not clear a fifth-year stay counter. Third, whether your compensation committee will sign hours-gated all-in, or whether you will retitle the seat so an Associate General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel band can see the cell. The in-house stack, independent of this firm’s print, sits on our general counsel salary benchmark and the salary hub.
That conversation is an in-house counsel search, not a campus rumor, and it starts with a private brief. The public print is the listed first-year, the November 2025 bonus memo, the 2024 partner census, and the London NQ. There is no public 2026 U.S. class-year ladder, no public 2025 PEP, and no public alumni-to-in-house conversion rate. The company-side denominator is the one we still cannot count.
Ropes pay: both readers, six answers
What is the 2026 Ropes & Gray salary for U.S. associates?
Boston.com listed a 2026 first-year Ropes & Gray salary of $225,000 on 31 July 2026. The firm had not publicly announced a match of the $235,000 market floor that took effect 1 July 2026. The rest of the U.S. class-year base ladder was not retrieved from a primary page and is omitted. Year-end bonuses for U.S.-scale partnership-track associates were set on 20 November 2025, gated at 1,900 creditable hours. Treat the listed first-year as the standing public U.S. base as of 31 July 2026, not as a confirmed silent match.
Did Ropes match the June 2026 Milbank associate raise?
Not publicly, as of 31 July 2026. Boston.com still recorded a listed $225,000 first-year that day and named Ropes among Boston firms that had not announced a match of the $235,000 floor. Milbank raised bases $10,000 to $20,000 by class year, effective 1 July 2026, to a $235,000–$455,000 ladder, as reported by Above the Law on 2 June 2026 and by Bloomberg Law on 17 June 2026. Timing of any later Ropes catch-up is unannounced.
What was the Ropes bonus for associates in 2025?
Above the Law, on 20 November 2025, reported year-end bonuses from $15,000 to $130,000 by class year. Special bonuses ran from $6,000 (Class of 2025, prorated) to $25,000 (Class of 2017 and senior), with a Cravath match on year-end and a Milbank match on specials. Eligibility required 1,900 creditable hours. Bonuses “may be increased up to 150 percent of the year-end bonus amounts” for those who billed materially more than 1,900 hours. The share who received 100 percent or 150 percent is not public.
What is Ropes PEP, and should a general counsel match it?
Legal Business, on 17 December 2025, put 2024 profits per equity partner at $4.989 million on 298 equity partners. A 2025 PEP print is not in the public text and is omitted. PEP is an average over equity partners, not take-home for a named partner and not an in-house offer. A general counsel matching a Ropes-scale associate starts from the listed first-year and the hours-gated bonus, not from PEP. The Am Law PEP league itself lives on a separate partner-pay page.
How should a general counsel match a Ropes and Gray salary in-house?
Start from the listed $225,000 first-year and the class-year bonus cells, then title the seat so the band can clear the seniority you actually need. No regulator or legal-press series counts how many company, fund, or issuer seats are filled from this firm; that denominator is omitted. NALP’s 2025 U.S. Associate Salary Survey, as of 1 January 2025, put the overall median first-year base at $200,000 and the mode at $225,000. Attorney-grade medians will not clear a lockstep cell.
What is the 2026 Ropes & Gray associate salary in London?
London newly qualified solicitors moved to £170,000 from 1 January 2026, up from £165,000, as reported by The Lawyer on 10 March 2026. First-year trainees are at £62,000 and second-year trainees at £67,000 from 1 September. The firm stated that a U.S.-aligned hybrid bonus from the first full year lets London associates and counsel who hit prescribed targets receive a salary top-up toward U.S. pay and bonus. Do not convert sterling NQ into the listed U.S. first-year.
The listed first-year, the bonus memo, the 2024 census, and the in-house gap.
The U.S. first-year is a Boston.com report of a listed figure as of 31 July 2026. The bonus grid is the 20 November 2025 memo as reported by Above the Law. Partner economics are Legal Business 2024 results. 2025 revenue and RPL are the 2026 Am Law 100. London NQ is The Lawyer and RollOnFriday. Boston cohort reads and mandate telemetry are Sartori's.

The Ropes U.S. first-year is a listed figure as of 31 July 2026, not a confirmed post-July lockstep. Bonus dollars are the 20 November 2025 memo for hours-gated U.S. associates; realized payout rates are not public. PEP is a 2024 Legal Business average, not 2025 take-home. London NQ is a sterling payroll. In-house seats filled from this firm are not a public census. Sartori Boston figures are interview-cohort reads and associate-mandate telemetry, reviewed by the owner before publication.
Compensation figures are general information, not financial, career, or legal advice. Actual pay varies by class year, hours, bonus eligibility, office payroll, and in-house title. Sartori & Partners is a legal search firm. It does not operate Ropes & Gray, set its scale, or administer its bonuses.
