Vinson & Elkins Salary 2026: Associate Scale, Bonus and Partner Pay

The last published U.S. associate grid at this firm still opens at $225,000. A Houston general counsel who filters the energy desk on that first-year cell discards the mid-level lockstep, the 2025 bonus, the London NQ cash, and the 2025 partner average that actually price the work.

The first-year number is not the desk.

Houston energy companies still write the Vinson & Elkins salary screen as a first-year cell. We map 11,000 lawyers in Houston. The people who paper energy, power, and data-center work sit well above that first-year number — on the mid-level lockstep, the 2025 bonus match, and the partner average, not on class of 2023.

Lens 01 · The recruiting page Summer weeks still price the $225,000 cell.

The firm’s law-students page, accessed 11 September 2026, still states $4,327 per week for first- and second-year law students. The May 2025 summer brochure prints the same weekly figure for a 10-week program. $4,327 times 52 is $225,004. The recruiting page has not been restated to $235,000.

A screen that keeps only the published first-year number drops every lens above. The dated cells are set out in full below.

Vinson & Elkins salary: the 2024 grid a 2026 screen still uses

Above the Law reproduced the last Vinson & Elkins-specific U.S. associate base grid on December 1, 2023. It took effect January 1, 2024. No later V&E base memo was located for this page.

That grid is lockstep base for U.S. associates at this firm, not total cash and not a confirmed 2026 scale. Class of 2023 prints at $225,000; class of 2022 at $235,000; class of 2021 at $260,000; class of 2020 at $310,000; class of 2019 at $365,000; class of 2018 at $390,000; class of 2017 at $420,000; class of 2016 and earlier at $435,000. Those eight cells are the last V&E-specific U.S. associate bases in the legal press.

On June 2, 2026, Above the Law reported Milbank raising associate bases $10,000 to $20,000 by class year, effective July 1, 2026. Law360 Pulse, the same afternoon, stated new floors of $235,000 and a senior cell as high as $455,000. Biglaw Investor’s 2026 table, accessed September 11, 2026, lists the post-raise market ladder as first-year $235,000 through eighth-year $455,000. That is the market-leading U.S. lockstep after June 2026. It is not Vinson & Elkins’ confirmed 2026 cells.

A Houston-headquartered Am Law platform matched that new scale effective July 1, 2026 for associates billing 1,900 hours, as Above the Law reported on July 1, 2026: class of 2026 $235,000 through class of 2018 $455,000. Vinson & Elkins is not on that page. Name the contrast; do not read it as a V&E match.

Last published Vinson & Elkins U.S. associate bases (January 1, 2024) placed on the same axis as the July 2026 market scale. The gold band is the 2024 V&E lockstep. The $235,000 and $455,000 markers are the market, not a V&E memo.

Class of 2017 7th year $420,000
Class of 2016+ 8th year and senior $435,000

Class years are the labels on the December 2023 memo. A firm counts seniority by graduation year, so class of 2023 is the most junior cell on that grid. Figures: Above the Law, December 1, 2023.

03 The discarded cells

Bonus, London cash, and a partner average the first-year cell never reaches

A general counsel who keeps only the $225,000 cell has not priced the desk. The 2025 bonus, the London NQ, and the 2025 PEP cell sit on the same firm and none of them is a first-year wage.

Vinson & Elkins matched the 2025 market bonus on November 24, 2025. Above the Law’s tracker dated November 26, 2025 records class of 2025 at $15,000 year-end plus $6,000 special, prorated, and class of 2018 and earlier at $115,000 plus $25,000 special, with payout on or about January 30, 2026. Eligibility is described as hours and good standing. The tracker prints no hour number for this firm in the 2025 cycle. A December 1, 2023 item paraphrased an unnamed tipster that the firm had lowered a bonus hours requirement that year to 1,900 including 100 hours of pro bono: treat that as 2023-cycle anecdote, not as a 2025–26 published target.

The ABA Journal, November 25, 2025, updated November 26, published the Cravath/Milbank combined scale — year-end plus special — as class of 2025 $21,000 total, prorated, through class of 2018 $140,000 total, and listed Vinson & Elkins among firms matching Cravath unless specified. Combined senior cash on that match is a $140,000 bonus sitting on a $435,000 2024 senior base. That all-in figure is a derived ceiling for a senior associate who cleared eligibility, not a W-2 this page has seen.

Vinson & Elkins 2025 bonus policy endpoints as recorded on Above the Law's tracker dated November 26, 2025. Intermediate combined cells ($21,000 through $140,000) are the market match the ABA Journal listed; they are not reprinted here as a V&E-specific ladder.

Above the Law bonus tracker, 26 November 2025; ABA Journal, 25-26 November 2025.

London is a separate lockstep. The firm’s graduate-recruitment page, accessed September 11, 2026, advertises £60,000 for first-year trainees (2024), £65,000 for second-year trainees (2024), and £173,077 for newly qualified associates (2024), plus a £20,000 SQE-year maintenance grant. Legal Cheek’s profile, accessed the same day, still lists those cash cells, four training contracts, and latest trainee retention of 50 percent. The same Legal Cheek page’s sterling PEP box does not reconcile with the page’s own $4.51 million 2025 PEP; that sterling box is not used as a 2025 cell here.

Partner economics at this firm are public as an average. Legal Cheek states 2025 revenues jumped 7.8 percent to a record $1.13 billion and profit per equity partner rose 12.3 percent to $4.51 million, attributing growth in part to data-center and power work and a busy litigation year. Texas Lawbook, May 5, 2026, independently states firmwide revenue increased nearly eight percent to $1.13 billion. The firm’s own February 26, 2026 news item says The American Lawyer analyzed 2025 results and highlighted a high-water mark for revenue, net income, and profits per partner, without reprinting the dollars. Individual equity-partner draws remain unpublished. Nonequity-partner salary and counsel salary remain unpublished.

Texas-seat revenue is the other partner-adjacent cell a first-year screen never sees. Texas Lawbook, April 30, 2026, reported that despite Texas headcount declining 4 percent, Vinson & Elkins grew Texas revenue by $34.6 million to a record $669.7 million. The year before, Texas Lawbook, June 4, 2025, had Vinson & Elkins Texas lawyers collecting $635.1 million in 2024 and lawyers in ten non-Texas offices generating $414.8 million. The paid Texas bench produced more on fewer people. That is not a first-year story.

What the first-year cell pricesWhat the energy desk consumes

  1. First-year lockstep A U.S. class-year wage on the last published grid, restated each summer by a weekly recruiting figure. Useful for campus. Silent on the desk.
  2. Years 3 to 8, counsel, special counsel The staffing mix on energy M&A, project finance, LNG, FERC certificates, and PUCT rate cases. This is the cell companies actually lose.
  3. Equity average / in-house AGC PEP as a published average, not a draw; company seats at twelve years and one U.S. bar. The first-year number does not reach either room.
We lost a years-five energy M&A associate because compensation had been capped at the published first-year number.

04 Who pays this bench

The lockstep is a law-firm wage. The company seat is a twelve-year gate.

Two rooms pay the people on this scale: the Houston energy desk itself, and the operators, utilities, LNG exporters, funds and hyperscalers that buy the work. The first-year cell prices neither room's actual seat.

The companies that match this bench sit on the firm’s own industry pages, accessed September 11, 2026: developers, sponsors, borrowers, equity investors and infrastructure funds, lenders, LNG suppliers and purchasers, and power offtakers on the gas-to-power page; developers, investors, hyperscalers and lenders on the data-center page. In-house titles that absorb the same energy-desk skill are Director and Associate General Counsel, Principal Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, and FERC-facing Assistant General Counsel — seven to twelve years, not class of 2026. Companies that search for in house counsel recruiters in Houston are usually buying that seniority, not a first-year wage.

One employer-domain posting makes the gate concrete. CenterPoint Energy advertised Director and Associate General Counsel in Houston on September 8, 2026, open through September 25, 2026: a J.D. from an accredited law school, licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, eligibility to practice as in-house counsel in the applicable jurisdiction, and a minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible legal experience, with energy, utility, infrastructure, construction, engineering, procurement or regulated-industry experience strongly preferred. The commercial team supports a $66.7 billion ten-year capital plan. That plan is utility capex, not a legal budget. The seat is not a first-year associate cell.

A listed LNG exporter headquartered in Houston publishes an Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary on its investor-relations management page, accessed September 11, 2026. The prior path on that page runs through Texas law-firm associate and counsel seats, then in-house. Do not treat that officer’s existence as a published salary. Treat it as the title a company actually pays for when it wants the same commercial and projects skill the lockstep trains.

Texas in-house credentialing moved on October 1, 2024. The State Bar of Texas Law Practice Management FAQ, May 16, 2025, states the State Bar does not require lawyers not licensed in Texas to register or pay a fee. Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 5.05(c), effective that October date, allows a lawyer admitted outside Texas, and not disbarred or suspended, to provide legal services solely to the lawyer’s employer or its organizational affiliates, provided the matter does not require pro hac vice. A New York- or D.C.-barred energy counsel can sit in Houston in-house without a Texas license. The same person cannot appear in the Texas Business Court or state court without admission or pro hac vice.

Firm-side Texas practice still needs a local ticket for the dockets that actually move capital. The firm’s Utility Rate Regulation page, accessed September 11, 2026, names clients as transmission-and-distribution utilities, municipal utilities, pipelines, producers, generators and power marketers, and names the forums as FERC, regional transmission organizations, the Public Utility Commission of Texas, the Railroad Commission of Texas, and state and federal appellate courts. The Electric Grid Security and Compliance page names FERC, NERC, the Texas Reliability Entity and ERCOT, including NERC CIP and Operations and Planning audits. ERCOT’s About page, accessed the same day, describes an independent system operator for more than 27 million Texas customers, about 90 percent of state load, 55,000-plus miles of transmission and 1,460-plus generation units, overseen by the PUCT and the Texas Legislature. Public-body staff-counsel seats at PUCT, ERCOT and FERC exist; they are a different pay cell from this lockstep and are not published on those pages.

The Houston office is the firm’s first and largest, “nearly 250 lawyers” on the Houston location page accessed September 11, 2026. That is a band, not an Am Law FTE, and it is the room a company is actually hiring out of when it says it wants “a Vinson & Elkins energy associate.” The June 2026 fact sheet lists Energy and Infrastructure, Data Centers, Commercial Disputes, Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate, Litigation, Antitrust, Environmental, Restructuring and Tax among the practice labels. None of those labels is a first-year generalist cell.

Your exposure is a seniority miss, not a campus number. Write the requisition against the years the work consumes.

  • Load the mid-level cells. Years 3 to 8 on the 2024 grid, not class of 2023, are the people who paper PE/M&A, project finance, LNG and PUCT rate cases.
  • Separate bar from forum. Rule 5.05(c) opens Houston in-house seats to any good-standing U.S. bar. Business Court, PUCT and Railroad Commission appearances still need a Texas ticket.
  • Skip the campus cap. A 12-year commercial AGC at a Houston IOU is a different instrument from a first-year lockstep. HR systems that flag “BigLaw” at $225,000 will reject the only people who can do the work.
  • Budget the counter. Houston associate mandate telemetry records a 34 percent counter-offer incidence on this line. Energy incumbents defend mid-level seats.

Your published cell is a lockstep base plus a 2025 bonus policy. It is not a partner draw and it is not an in-house AGC package.

  • Know your grid. Last confirmed U.S. base is the January 1, 2024 memo. London NQ is a sterling cell labeled 2024. Do not quote the July 2026 market as your own unless the firm has matched it in writing.
  • Bonus is policy, not a W-2. Endpoints and a January 30, 2026 payout date are public. Hours thresholds for 2025–26 are not. Realized bonus is not.
  • PEP is not your offer. $4.51 million is an average over equity owners for 2025. Nonequity and counsel remain unpublished. Ask the questions the average conceals: equity or not, capital, origination credit, holdbacks.
  • Price a different clock. Twelve years and one U.S. bar, not class year. Rule 5.05(c) lets a non-Texas bar sit in-house; it does not let that bar walk into the Eleventh Business Court Division.
05 Why 2026 demand moved

Grid-load rules rewrote the desk. The first-year cell did not.

On June 18, 2026 the Public Utility Commission of Texas approved ERCOT's Batch Zero process for large loads the same day FERC opened Section 206 show-cause dockets at six interstate RTOs. Neither order reset associate lockstep.

ERCOT’s June 18, 2026 news release said the PUCT had approved a batch process for large-user connection requests of 75 MW and greater, the first ISO in the nation to do so. ERCOT was tracking more than 438,000 MW of large-load requests, nearly 89 percent from data centers, against an all-time peak of 85,508 MW on August 10, 2023. Classification notices were expected in August 2026; a statewide transmission plan in fall 2027; Batch 1 applications in summer 2027. Optional pathways include on-site generation and curtailment. Islanded facilities with no grid connection generally fall outside ERCOT interconnection but may still face PUCT registration. The hiring consequence through fall 2027 is energy-regulatory, electric-power, real-estate and project-finance counsel and mid-to-senior associates — at Houston firms and at IOU commercial desks — not a first-year generalist.

The same calendar day, FERC issued tailored show-cause orders under Federal Power Act Section 206 to PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, ISO-NE and NYISO and their transmission owners. ERCOT is outside that set. The orders gave a 60-day clock to justify tariffs or propose changes, covering study processes, cost-shift prevention, co-location and behind-the-meter generation, new transmission services for flexible large loads, and generating facilities serving electrically proximate large loads. Houston energy-desk lawyers who paper SPP- or MISO-adjacent Permian and Gulf loads, co-located generation, and hyperscaler PPAs need FERC electric specialists in parallel with the ERCOT Batch Zero track. The first-year cell does not distinguish the two grids.

Generator interconnection is a third queue. White & Case / JD Supra, August 21, 2026, reported that the D.C. Circuit in Advanced Energy United v. FERC, July 31, 2026, denied petitions challenging FERC Order No. 2023. The court noted roughly 2,600 GW of proposed capacity in queues at end-2023 and still over 2,060 GW by end-2025. That is FERC-jurisdictional generation, including gas-to-power and co-located plants serving data centers. It is not ERCOT load Batch Zero.

FERC’s LNG page, accessed September 11, 2026, still prices the Gulf export desk as a certificate practice: siting and construction of onshore and near-shore LNG import and export facilities under Natural Gas Act Section 3, Section 7 certificates for LNG facilities in interstate pipeline transportation, and 27 operational LNG facilities currently under FERC regulation. That work sits with projects and energy-regulatory partners and specialists, plus London English-law offtake. First-year scale does not price NGA Sections 3 and 7.

Commercial disputes pulled toward Houston on a different statute. Texas H.B. 40, signed June 20, 2025 and effective September 1, 2025, dropped the Business Court amount-in-controversy and qualified-transaction thresholds from $10 million to $5 million and moved Montgomery County into the Eleventh Division in Houston, as Foley & Lardner summarized on June 30, 2025. Norton Rose Fulbright’s April 2026 18-month update counted 185 cases in the court’s first year, almost half in the Eleventh Division, and 141 more filings from September 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026, 64 of them in Houston. Gibson Dunn’s January 2026 Year One paper put Houston and Dallas together at 127 of 181 first-year filings. Dallas is the neighbouring division and the neighbouring listing venue — the SEC approved the Texas Stock Exchange on September 30, 2025; this page does not explain that market. S.B. 29, effective May 14, 2025, lets Texas governing documents require exclusive Texas forum and a jury-trial waiver. The seats those bills consume are commercial-litigation and energy-contract partners, trial associates, and in-house general counsel writing forum clauses.

Tax and environmental desks moved on federal clocks the lockstep ignores. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed July 4, 2025, rewrites IRA energy credits and FEOC screens, with placed-in-service cliffs through 2027, as Holland & Knight summarized on July 7, 2025: compressed wind and solar 45Y/48E paths, 45V hydrogen termination after December 31, 2027, 45X wind components after that date, 45Z through 2029 with feedstock changes, 45Q and 45U largely retained with FEOC limits, and 100 percent bonus depreciation for property acquired and placed in service after January 19, 2025, not available to certain utilities. EPA’s May 2024 Subpart W fact sheet put most GHGRP revisions effective January 1, 2025, with reporting-year 2025 due March 31, 2026. Those are tax, project-finance and environmental counsel seats. They are not a first-year raise.

Vinson & Elkins March 2026 survey of 200 senior infrastructure developers and private-capital investors, published May 14, 2026. Majority of investor respondents sat at organizations with at least $50 billion AUM. These are respondent shares, not billed hours.

Vinson & Elkins / PR Newswire, 14 May 2026.

The cyclical overlay is upstream capital, not lockstep. Enverus Intelligence Research, August 5, 2026, printed U.S. upstream deal value of $9.1 billion in the second quarter of 2026, 76 percent down quarter-on-quarter and 33 percent down year-on-year, with more than 40 percent of second-quarter value from the Bureau of Land Management’s New Mexico lease sale of over $4 billion. The Dallas Fed Energy Survey, released June 24, 2026 from a June 9–17 field of 127 energy firms, put the business-activity index at 46.1, the capital-expenditures index at 40.9 with 49 percent of firms reporting increased spending, and the expected-capex-next-year index at 0. World Oil, September 10, 2026, summarizing the EIA Short-Term Energy Outlook, had U.S. crude on track to average a record 13.8 million barrels a day in 2026, Permian output at 6.8 million, and WTI at $84 a barrel through August 2026 against $65 in 2025. Energy M&A associates in years 3 to 6 move with announced deal value on a lag. A zero next-year capex index is a 2027 caution for that same mid-level. It is not a reason to hire or fire on the first-year number.

The firm itself publishes two data-center deal series that must not be averaged. A February 26, 2026 news item, reporting what was told to The American Lawyer, said the firm’s attorneys handled more than 100 data-center transactions in that space. A May 14, 2026 news item and PR Newswire release said that in the last two years the firm signed or closed more than 75 data-center and power transactions totaling approximately $125 billion, with the Data Center Practice advising in more than 30 jurisdictions. Those are different metrics. Report both as published.

What eight years of Houston associate search actually closed

Sartori has worked the Houston associate market for eight years. The closed-search record on this line is 26 files over three years, not a second interview count.

Sartori & Partners maps nearly 1.5 million lawyer profiles globally and has run quarterly market surveys since 2019. The Houston associate desk is a city cut of that program: 26 closed associate searches over the trailing three years, a 92 percent completion rate, a typical timeline of 6 to 12 weeks, and a median of 8 working days from offer to acceptance.

Across 275 structured interviews with Houston partners and counsel, 61 of 94 energy and energy-adjacent hiring managers — in-house general counsel, chief legal officers, and firm energy chairs — over a 24-month window said their last energy-desk requisition had been written against a first-year BigLaw cell rather than against years 3 to 6. That is the segment, the base, and the window. It is also the miss this page is for.

Of 26 closed Houston associate searches over three years, 14 were energy-anchored mid-level seats (years 3 to 6). Of those 14, 5 drew a counter-offer from the incumbent. A general counsel at a Houston-headquartered midstream operator told us the HR system flagged “BigLaw” at the first-year cell, and they had never loaded the senior lockstep. A chief legal officer at a PE-backed E&P platform said they lost a years-five energy M&A associate because compensation had been capped at the published first-year number.

Three of those 26 closed searches had to be re-specified after the first shortlist because the company had written the brief against a first-year cell. Those three added a median five weeks. One of the three was withdrawn rather than filled. That is the finding that does not flatter the file: when the buyer will not move off the campus number, our Houston associate desk still loses the mandate. We now brief that risk at intake rather than discovering it on the second shortlist.

Two composite files, tier and type only

A PE-backed E&P platform with a Houston legal team of four retained us to hire a years 4–5 energy M&A associate off an Am Law Houston energy desk into a commercial counsel seat. The first brief arrived with a first-year BigLaw ceiling. We rewrote the band against the 2024 fifth-year cell and the 2025 bonus policy before approaching anyone. Time to offer was 9 weeks, inside the 6 to 12 week band. The incumbent firm countered. The candidate accepted on working day 8. No names.

A Houston-headquartered investor-owned utility asked for a commercial counsel to sit under an Associate General Counsel and support equipment, construction, procurement and real-estate work on a multi-year capital plan. The posted market analogue is the 12-year AGC-Commercial seat, not a campus wage. We ran the search against years 5–7 with a U.S. bar in good standing, using Rule 5.05(c) rather than Texas admission as the in-house gate, and reserved Texas admission for any PUCT appearance. Eleven weeks to accept. The file was one of the 14 energy mid-level closes. No names.

What legal recruiters Houston energy companies should actually brief

Write the requisition against the seniority the work consumes. The published first-year cell is a campus recruiting price. It is not a hiring specification for Batch Zero, a PUCT rate case, or a 12-year commercial desk.

Name the cell you will actually pay (a 2024 mid-level base, a 2025 bonus policy, an employer AGC band) and the cell you will not (the $225,000 first-year lockstep as a ceiling). A company that cannot name those four has not opened a search. It has opened a campus screen.

The service view of the associate book sits on our Houston associate recruiting page. Company-side AGC and chief legal officer seats sit on Houston in-house counsel recruiting. Statewide pay context, a different intent, is on lawyer salary in Texas for 2026. The research program behind the Houston cohort, the mapping coverage and the mandate telemetry is set out on our research page.

Vinson & Elkins pay: common questions

What is the Vinson & Elkins salary for U.S. associates in 2026?

The last published Vinson & Elkins U.S. associate base grid still opens at $225,000 (class of 2023) and tops at $435,000 (class of 2016+). A public 2026 V&E memo matching the July 2026 market scale of $235,000–$455,000 was not located as of 11 September 2026. Above the Law reproduced the January 1, 2024 lockstep on December 1, 2023. The firm’s own law-students page, accessed 11 September 2026, still prices summer weeks at $4,327, which annualizes to that $225,000 first-year cell. Treat $225,000 as the last confirmed first-year base, not as a verified 2026 match.

What bonuses did Vinson & Elkins pay associates for 2025?

Vinson & Elkins matched the 2025 market bonus on November 24, 2025, with payout on or about January 30, 2026. Above the Law’s tracker dated November 26, 2025 records endpoints of $15,000 plus $6,000 special (class of 2025, prorated) through $115,000 plus $25,000 special (class of 2018+), eligibility based on hours and good standing, with no published hour number for this cycle. The ABA Journal, November 25–26, 2025, listed the firm among those matching the Cravath/Milbank combined scale of $21,000 prorated through $140,000 senior. Realized average bonus is not public.

How does Vinson Elkins associate salary compare with the 2026 market scale?

The 2026 market lockstep, set by Milbank on June 2, 2026 and effective July 1, 2026, runs from $235,000 to $455,000. Vinson & Elkins’ last published U.S. grid, from January 1, 2024, runs $225,000 to $435,000. A Houston-headquartered Am Law platform matched the new market scale on July 1, 2026; a V&E-specific 2026 base memo was not found. Do not write that Vinson & Elkins “pays $235,000” in 2026 until a firm memo says so.

What do Vinson & Elkins partners make in 2025?

The public partner cell is profits per equity partner of $4.51 million for 2025, up 12.3 percent, as reported on Legal Cheek’s firm profile and consistent with Texas Lawbook’s May 5, 2026 firmwide-revenue read. PEP is an average of distributable profit over equity owners, not a named partner’s draw, W-2, or guarantee. Nonequity-partner salary and counsel salary at this firm are not public in any page opened for this article. Do not treat reported rainmaking packages at other Houston platforms as a V&E cell.

What should a Houston energy company pay to hire off this bench?

Not the first-year cell. A Houston investor-owned utility posted Director and Associate General Counsel — Commercial on September 8, 2026 at a 12-year gate, one U.S. bar, supporting a $66.7 billion ten-year capital plan. Sartori’s Houston associate telemetry over three years closed 26 searches at a 92 percent completion rate and a typical 6 to 12 week timeline; of those 26, 14 were energy-anchored mid-level seats (years 3–6). Price the seniority the work consumes — years 3–8, counsel, or a chief legal officer seat — and load the 2025 bonus and the PEP cell as context, not as the offer.

Does a New York-barred energy counsel need a Texas license to sit in-house in Houston?

Not for pure in-house work, as of October 1, 2024. Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 5.05(c) lets a lawyer admitted outside Texas provide legal services solely to the employer or its organizational affiliates without State Bar registration, as the State Bar FAQ restated on May 16, 2025. The same lawyer cannot appear in the Texas Business Court or state court without Texas admission or pro hac vice. Forum work at the Public Utility Commission of Texas, the Railroad Commission of Texas, or the Texas Business Court Eleventh Division still needs a local ticket.

Associate bases are the last V&E-specific U.S. grid located as of 11 September 2026. Bonus endpoints are the 2025 tracker match. PEP is an average, not a draw. Texas revenue follows Texas Lawbook methodology (revenue produced by Texas-based lawyers). Headcount figures are dated snapshots and are not averaged. The 100+ data-center transactions (2025) and the 75 data-center-and-power transactions over two years are firm-published and are not the same metric. Batch Zero figures are ERCOT and PUCT. The June 18, 2026 FERC Section 206 orders cover six interstate RTOs, not ERCOT.

Our own numbers — the Houston interview cohort, the associate-line mandate telemetry, the counter-offer incidence and the offer-to-acceptance window — come from the continuous research program described on our research page.
