Apply in confidence →We are seeking an Associate (2–6 PQE) to join our Insolvency and Restructuring practice in London. The role involves working on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters, including fraud investigations, transaction avoidance, directors' duties, asset tracing and recovery, freezing orders, enforcement of security, contract termination, administrator appointments, recognition of foreign office-holders, statutory demands and contested winding-up petitions, claims against negligent auditors, insolvency set-off, proprietary rights, accelerated M&A and pre-packs, office holders' duties and powers, recovery of goods, contested restructuring plans and schemes, voluntary arrangements, and personal insolvency and bankruptcy.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with all partners in the team on diverse matters, developing your own client relationships, and managing cases independently. We are looking for a candidate with a strong academic record, excellent attention to detail, organisational and writing skills, and outstanding drafting abilities. You should demonstrate a proactive approach to business development, take responsibility for your own professional growth, and be comfortable managing your own workload. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We value personable, confident individuals who can build relationships with colleagues, clients, and external organisations. You should remain calm under pressure and be adaptable and flexible in your approach.
