An international law firm is seeking an associate to join its growing Seattle office as part of a busy liability and insurance practice. The team handles a broad range of coverage and bad faith matters, catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims, UIM defense, premises liability, and trucking and transportation claims, along with related employment and property disputes.

Day to day, the associate will take depositions, attend hearings and mediations, draft and submit pleadings, motions and briefs, and conduct legal research. The role also involves preparing and responding to discovery, reviewing and analyzing documents for production, investigating claims, and developing case-handling strategy. Regular reporting to insurance carrier clients and insureds, and preparing cases for trial and mediation, are central to the position.

Admitted to practice in Washington state
Civil litigation experience
Excellent legal research, writing and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
