Senior Associate (Mid-Level), Fund Formation & M&A – Montréal

We are seeking a mid-level associate to join two highly regarded, internationally active practice groups at our Montréal office: Fund Formation & Capital Raising and Mergers & Acquisitions.

These groups advise fund sponsors and institutional investors on structuring, negotiating and investing across a range of fund types — including private equity, private credit, impact/social, retail-oriented, venture capital and infrastructure funds — as well as co-investment transactions. The teams also regularly represent private equity firms and institutional investors, both domestic and international, in private acquisition and equity transactions across multiple sectors.

The successful candidate will work alongside specialists within a large firm and collaborate with clients across a wide range of industries.

• 3–5 years of professional experience in fund formation (institutional or retail) and/or M&A, ideally with exposure to investment funds.
• Candidates with strong securities regulatory experience and an interest in developing private fund formation knowledge are also welcome to apply.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with specialists in a large-firm environment and advising clients across diverse sectors.
• Positive attitude, team spirit and a proven work ethic.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
• Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec (or willing to become a member).
