Join a top-tier international capital markets team in Tokyo advising issuers, underwriters and financial investors on a broad range of capital markets transactions, including debt and equity offerings, convertibles, regulatory capital/hybrid securities, ESG-linked financings, liability management, securitisations and related financial markets work (derivatives, repos, stock lending).

You will work on cross-border, high-value matters as part of a multidisciplinary APAC practice, drafting offering documents and disclosure, conducting due diligence, and contributing to transaction structuring and risk analysis. The role offers regular collaboration with regional offices and specialist support teams.

The team values commercial judgment, strong drafting, disciplined matter management and a proactive approach to knowledge-sharing and client service.

Commonwealth qualification (e.g. England & Wales) with practical experience in debt capital markets; wider capital markets experience (equity, securitisation, structured debt) advantageous.
Excellent legal drafting, commercial judgement and attention to disclosure and regulatory risk.
Experience working on cross-border transactions and within interdisciplinary teams; strong time-management skills.
Japanese language skills advantageous but not essential.
