Associate – Corporate & Commercial (M&A / Capital Markets)

Join a well-established Brisbane Corporate & Commercial team and work alongside experienced partners and lawyers on a broad range of transactions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in other major Australian offices, and to advise clients across a variety of industries.

This hands-on role offers significant learning and development opportunities, with exposure to mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, joint ventures, and general commercial work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including share sale agreements, shareholders agreements, and investment documents.
• Working on M&A and capital markets matters, including capital raising documents, due diligence, and transaction completion.
• Liaising with clients and corporate and other advisers, as well as specialist internal groups (e.g. employment, banking, tax, property, projects).
• Assisting with joint ventures, management equity arrangements, and other commercial transactions.
• Drafting and advising on key commercial contracts from time to time.

We are looking for a lawyer with 2–4 years of post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law, ideally with exposure to capital markets or M&A transactions. Strong technical skills, a proactive attitude, and a commercially astute approach are essential.
