Corporate Associate – Energy & Infrastructure M&A (Houston)

A leading law firm is seeking a corporate associate with 4–7 years of experience to join its energy and infrastructure M&A practice in Houston.

The role focuses on private equity M&A, with a particular emphasis on representing energy and infrastructure private equity sponsors. The ideal candidate will advise clients — including sponsors, project developers, funds, utilities, and infrastructure owners and operators — on complex acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions in the infrastructure, energy, power, and renewables sectors.

The associate will lead and support the execution of infrastructure M&A, joint venture, and project-financing related transactions, from bid process through closing, across multiple sectors. This position is well suited to an associate who enjoys sophisticated, cross-disciplinary work that combines corporate M&A and project finance.

• 4–7 years of experience in private equity M&A
• Specific experience representing energy and infrastructure private equity sponsors
• Experience with acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures in the energy, infrastructure, power, and renewables sectors
• Familiarity with project finance and transactions from bid process through closing
• Strong academic credentials and excellent communication and drafting skills
