Associate — Environment & Planning (Melbourne)

An established national law firm is seeking an associate to join its Environmental & Planning team in Melbourne. The role will advise on a range of environmental regulatory, planning and land-use matters for public and private sector clients.

The successful candidate will work on development approvals, environmental compliance and risk matters, and contribute to strategic planning and permitting advice. The team offers exposure to cross-practice matters and opportunities to work with senior lawyers on high-profile projects.

• Admitted lawyer in Australia (or eligible for admission)
• Relevant experience in environmental law and planning, including land use and zoning matters
• Strong drafting and analytical skills; able to prepare regulatory advice, submissions and compliance documentation
• Good stakeholder engagement and project management skills; ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
