An opportunity has arisen for an associate to join the tax department of a leading global law firm, working within its executive compensation, employment and benefits practice. This team advises clients worldwide on a full spectrum of corporate transactions and standalone representations.

The role covers the most challenging compensation, employee benefits and employment issues facing businesses today — from structuring compensation arrangements in large mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions, to complex multi-jurisdictional employment and benefits matters, to plan design that accounts for tax and securities law considerations.

Clients span high-growth technology companies, financial institutions, private equity firms and emerging growth companies across multiple jurisdictions. The work calls for an understanding of both the legal landscape and market practice, and the team works as an integrated part of client teams.

The position is open across several US offices, and cross-office collaboration is central to how the practice operates.

Minimum of 2 years of benefits and compensation experience
Experience advising on executive compensation, employee benefits and employment matters
Familiarity with compensation issues in corporate transactions and capital markets deals
Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills
