Apply in confidence →Join a national Projects, Energy, Environment & Resources team focused on major energy and infrastructure work in California and the western United States. The role centers on permitting, regulatory advocacy, and environmental litigation for multijurisdictional projects such as electric transmission, renewable generation, energy storage, water infrastructure, and related land-use matters.
Day-to-day work includes advising on CEQA, NEPA, and other federal and state natural-resource laws; representing clients in agency proceedings; defending project approvals in state and federal court; and conducting environmental due diligence and transactional support for project financings and acquisitions. The position offers opportunities for significant responsibility on large, complex matters and mentorship of junior team members.
- 4–7 years of environmental, land use, or energy regulatory experience at a major law firm, government agency, or specialist boutique
- Deep familiarity with CEQA and NEPA and related natural-resources statutes (ESA, CWA, NHPA)
- Experience advising project sponsors on electric transmission, renewable energy, storage, water infrastructure, or similar energy/infrastructure projects; CAISO experience highly valued
- Proven ability to run matters independently, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff
- Active membership in good standing of the State Bar of California
