A highly regarded law firm is seeking tax associates to join its growing tax practice in Los Angeles. The role offers the opportunity to advise on sophisticated, often novel tax matters across a range of transactional contexts.

Associates will work on strategic and private equity M&A transactions, capital markets matters such as spin-offs and IPOs, investment fund formation, and real estate matters including REITs. Candidates with a mix of any of these experiences are encouraged to apply.

The practice places particular emphasis on interpersonal skills, direct client contact, and professional development, including participation in public speaking opportunities at national tax conferences and regular in-office collaboration.

Law school class years 2020–2023
Class-year-appropriate technical tax law knowledge, including strong research and writing abilities
Experience with strategic and private equity M&A transactions, capital markets (including spin-offs and IPOs), investment fund formation, and/or real estate (including REIT) matters
Outstanding oral communication and analytical skills
Top academic credentials
Ability and desire to think creatively about complex, novel problems
Enthusiasm for direct client interaction and public speaking
