Capital Markets Associate — Corporate (Washington, D.C.)

A leading global law firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate to join its Capital Markets Practice in Washington, D.C. The group advises issuers, private equity investors, and investment banks on capital raising across all major financial centers, and is consistently ranked at the top of league tables for both deal volume and value.

The practice is known for thought leadership and innovation, having guided clients through new routes to the public markets — including direct listings — and developed alternatives to traditional debt and equity fundraising for strategic investments and acquisitions. Clients rely on the team for sophisticated, real-time advice on complex, overlapping securities and listing issues across jurisdictions, borders, and industries.

The team draws substantial support from a centralized Washington, D.C.-based group of former senior regulatory officials and experienced capital markets lawyers, offering unparalleled depth on the toughest securities matters. The role spans the full spectrum of capital markets work, from IPOs to derivatives and high yield bonds to direct listings, with the firm's global platform supporting clients long after the capital raise closes.

• 3rd–6th year associate with meaningful corporate finance experience
• Substantial background in capital markets — equity, high yield, and/or hybrid capital offerings
• Alternatively, debt finance experience with acquisition financings, syndicated term loans, or direct-lending arrangements
• Strong interest in sophisticated, cross-border securities and capital-raising work
