An established Real Estate Finance practice is seeking a commercial real estate finance associate with two or more years of experience to join its Charlotte office. The role involves representing commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, debt funds, and other regulated and non-regulated lenders in the financing of commercial properties.

The successful candidate will handle commercial property diligence — including title, survey, and lease review — and work on the origination of loans secured by commercial properties. Exposure to mezzanine loans and commercial mortgage loan securitization and syndication is a plus.

Candidates should expect a varied practice, with all or a portion of their time potentially devoted to real estate owner/operator, developer, and equity-side work, including leasing. 2+ years of experience representing lenders in commercial real estate finance
Experience conducting title, survey, lease, and other commercial property diligence
Experience with origination of loans secured by commercial properties
Exposure to mezzanine loans, commercial mortgage loan securitization, and syndication is a plus
Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in a U.S. state bar
