The role supports a busy construction and design practice handling both transactional work and related dispute matters for commercial and public projects.
Typical responsibilities include drafting and negotiating construction and design agreements, advising on contract terms and risk allocation, and supporting or managing construction-related disputes and litigation. Work will involve industry-standard forms such as AIA, AGC, and DBIA agreements.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with construction/design contracts and related litigation in a law firm or in-house setting
- Active bar admission and residency in the state where the attorney will be based
- Proven drafting and negotiation skills; experience with AIA, AGC, and DBIA contract forms
- Experience supporting or handling construction-related claims or litigation
- Strong client-service orientation and excellent verbal and written communication skills
