We are seeking a mid-level corporate associate with 2-3 years of experience and a focus in debt financing to join our Toronto office. Candidates should have experience with a variety of financing structures, including senior secured, mezzanine, acquisition, syndicated, construction, and real estate financing for institutional lenders, private credit funds, borrowers, developers, and private equity sponsors.

Collaboration is an important part of our culture, and the firm encourages working from the office approximately 60% of the time, in line with published guidelines.

Canadian law degree (JD or LLB) and license to practice in Ontario
2-3 years of practice experience, with debt finance experience required
Prior experience with real estate security considered an asset
Experience drafting and negotiating security agreements, guarantees, debentures, and other loan and security documents
Technology-forward approach, with hands-on proficiency in legal AI tools
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Professionalism in engaging with clients and colleagues
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage competing responsibilities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings
