A corporate practice is seeking an associate with venture capital and emerging company experience to support its ECVC team.

The role involves drafting and negotiating venture capital investment agreements, advising emerging companies on day-to-day operational matters such as board and stockholder communications, approvals, and equity awards, and supervising, training, and mentoring junior associates across venture capital financing and emerging company projects.

The position requires working from the office approximately 60% of the time. The firm is an Am Law 100 firm serving clients worldwide, and this role is based in New York but part of a multi-office platform.

JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
Admitted or eligible for admission in New York or Massachusetts
Minimum of four years of venture capital and emerging company practice experience
Transactional experience with venture capital financings
Knowledge of Excel and capitalization tables
Technology-forward approach with daily proficiency in legal AI tools
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team
