Corporate M&A / Private Equity Associate — New York

A New York office is seeking mid-level associates to join its Corporate Practice Group. The practice encompasses global M&A and private equity work, representing both strategic participants and financial sponsors across a broad range of industries.

Associates in this role work across the full spectrum of corporate transactions. On the strategic side, matters include public and private mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures, and joint ventures. On the private equity side, work includes buyouts, take-private transactions, co-investments, and portfolio company acquisitions and dispositions.

The position offers significant responsibility and direct client interaction within a collaborative team environment.

• 3–6 years of large law firm experience working on M&A and/or private equity transactions
• Experience on both the strategic and sponsor side is preferred; strong candidates concentrated in either area will also be considered
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Superior academic credentials
• Desire for teamwork, significant responsibility, and client interaction
