An established law firm is seeking an experienced litigation Counsel to join its New York office and take a leading role in drug, medical device, consumer product, and related product liability matters.

The successful candidate will manage significant aspects of complex cases from inception through resolution, developing litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients. Day-to-day work includes drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and memoranda; preparing for and participating in depositions, hearings, oral arguments, and mediations; and working closely with expert witnesses and consultants on case development and trial preparation.

This position requires strong analytical skills to translate complex scientific, medical, and technical evidence into persuasive legal arguments, as well as direct client communication on case status, strategy, and risks. The Counsel will supervise and mentor associates and other legal professionals, and contribute to trial preparation and execution as appropriate.

J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in good standing with applicable state bar(s)
8+ years of relevant experience in drug, medical device, consumer product, product liability, toxic tort, or related complex litigation
Strong deposition, motion practice, discovery, and case-management experience
Experience with federal and/or state court litigation; MDL experience preferred
Experience managing asbestos or talc litigation preferred
NY state court trial experience
Demonstrated ability to independently manage significant litigation responsibilities with sound strategic judgment
Excellent organization, detail orientation, and time management skills in a fast-paced, high-performing team
Strong client-management and communication skills
Aptitude for emerging legal AI tools for document review, analysis, and eDiscovery
