Senior counsel role within a global restructuring & insolvency team based in Frankfurt. The role involves leading and managing insolvency and debtor-side eigenverwaltung matters, supporting restructurings and advising on plan-based restructurings under the StaRUG framework.

This is a hands-on, client-facing position with responsibility for running proceedings and contributing to the development of the Restructuring & Insolvency practice. German legal qualification with strong academic record
Several years' substantive experience in restructuring and insolvency law, including responsibility for insolvency and eigenverwaltungsverfahren
Practical experience with insolvency plans, transfer restructurings and StaRUG-related restructuring plans
Commercial and economic understanding of turnaround situations; experience as a restructuring director/mandated restructuring officer is a plus
Proactive, structured and solution-oriented work style; technology affinity and experience with legal tech/AI tools desirable
Fluent German and English
