Apply in confidence →Established U.S. practice is seeking a mid‑level associate to join its Cyber/Data/Privacy litigation and investigations team. The role is open across multiple U.S. offices (including New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Washington, D.C.).
The successful candidate will work on privacy and data‑security litigation and regulatory enforcement matters, handling investigations by state attorneys general, the FTC and other regulators, as well as defense of consumer and data‑breach class actions. The team offers cross‑border, multidisciplinary support and exposure to high‑profile matters.
Strong client communication skills, project leadership, and clear analytical and writing ability are essential. The group values tech fluency and prior experience with privacy statutes and consumer‑protection claims.
- 4–6 years' litigation or regulatory investigations experience focusing on privacy/data security and consumer protection matters
- Experience defending data‑privacy class actions and/or handling government enforcement investigations (e.g., State AG, FTC)
- Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school
- Proven ability to engage directly with clients and lead substantive projects; strong analytical and drafting skills; general tech fluency
