Apply in confidence →Growing Cyber/Data/Privacy team at a national technology-focused law practice is seeking an associate with substantive advisory experience. The role is open to candidates for several U.S. offices and will support privacy, data security, and incident-response matters across corporate and regulatory contexts.
Work will include counseling clients on privacy compliance (state, federal and international regimes), privacy and security diligence for transactions, drafting and negotiating data-processing and security provisions, and advising on breach preparedness and incident response. The team serves a broad client base, including emerging technology companies, financial institutions, life sciences and media organizations.
- 4–7 years PQE advising on privacy and data security matters (law firm or in-house)
- Practical experience with CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and other privacy regimes
- Experience with privacy/security due diligence, data processing agreements, and incident response planning
- Strong analytical and writing skills and ability to lead client engagements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership
