Growing Cyber/Data/Privacy team at a national technology-focused law practice is seeking an associate with substantive advisory experience. The role is open to candidates for several U.S. offices and will support privacy, data security, and incident-response matters across corporate and regulatory contexts.

Work will include counseling clients on privacy compliance (state, federal and international regimes), privacy and security diligence for transactions, drafting and negotiating data-processing and security provisions, and advising on breach preparedness and incident response. The team serves a broad client base, including emerging technology companies, financial institutions, life sciences and media organizations.

4–7 years PQE advising on privacy and data security matters (law firm or in-house)
Practical experience with CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and other privacy regimes
Experience with privacy/security due diligence, data processing agreements, and incident response planning
Strong analytical and writing skills and ability to lead client engagements
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership
