Our Cyber/Data/Privacy practice group is seeking a midlevel associate with 4–6 years of experience focusing on litigation and/or regulatory enforcement investigations involving privacy and data security matters. This position is available in multiple U.S. offices.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Regulatory investigations or litigation involving consumer protection issues (e.g., state AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies)
  • Defending data privacy and security class actions, including claims under the Stored Communications Act, wiretapping claims, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and data breach class actions

Successful candidates will have a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school, the ability to engage directly with clients and lead significant projects, general tech fluency, and impeccable analytical and writing skills. The expected annual pay range for this position is $310,000–$390,000, with final offer dependent on geographic location and experience.

  • 4–6 years of experience in privacy and data security litigation or regulatory investigations
  • Experience with consumer protection regulatory matters (state AG, FTC, or similar)
  • Experience defending data breach class actions
  • High academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
  • Strong client engagement, project leadership, tech fluency, and analytical/writing skills
