Apply in confidence →Growing cyber/data/privacy litigation team seeks a midlevel associate to join US offices (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, or Washington, D.C.). The practice handles litigation and regulatory enforcement matters involving data security, privacy, and related consumer-protection issues.
Ideal candidates will have 4–6 years of litigation and/or regulatory investigations experience—defending data-breach and privacy class actions or handling enforcement matters before state attorneys general, the FTC, and similar agencies. The role requires strong client-facing skills, substantive ownership of matters, and excellent analytical and writing ability.
The expected annual pay range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000 (final offers depend on office location and experience). The firm also offers a comprehensive benefits package, parental leave, and other employee supports.
- 4–6 years post-qualification litigation or regulatory investigations experience focused on privacy, data security, or consumer-protection matters
- Experience defending data-privacy class actions and/or handling enforcement investigations (state AGs, FTC, other regulators)
- Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
- Ability to manage significant projects, engage directly with clients, and produce high-quality written work
- Comfortable with technology issues and legal matters involving data security
