A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Global Finance team in Frankfurt. The team advises banks, debt funds, private equity sponsors and corporates on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions.

The practice focuses on leveraged finance, acquisition financings, unitranche and private credit structures, refinancings and restructurings, syndicated credit facilities, and security and intercreditor arrangements.

The team works closely with colleagues in London and the US and is regularly involved in market-leading, highly complex transactions. The role offers direct client contact and the opportunity to take on responsibility early.

At least two years of relevant finance experience at an international law firm or specialist boutique, ideally with a leveraged finance focus
Fully qualified German lawyer with both state examinations completed with above-average success
Strong understanding of commercial relationships and financing structures
International experience (e.g. LL.M. or semester abroad) is an advantage
Team spirit, commitment, initiative and entrepreneurial thinking
Excellent written and spoken English
