A highly regarded US law firm seeks an associate to join its Consumer Financial Services Regulatory Compliance practice group. The team advises depository institutions, mortgage lenders, auto finance companies, specialty lenders, fintechs, payment processors and other consumer finance market participants on a broad range of state and federal regulatory compliance matters.

The role offers substantive client contact and the opportunity to counsel clients on navigating complex regulatory frameworks, launching innovative financial products, and managing regulatory risk in rapidly evolving industries. You will work on origination and underwriting, licensing, documentation, servicing, privacy, collection and asset recovery, and related regulatory matters.

2–5 years of experience in financial services compliance or a related practice area
Familiarity with state and federal consumer financial services laws and regulatory frameworks governing origination, servicing, collection, asset recovery and licensing
Experience advising financial institutions, fintech companies, specialty lenders or other regulated providers preferred
Excellent legal research, analytical, drafting and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Admission to practice in the jurisdiction of residence and work, or eligibility to become admitted promptly upon hire
