A leading Canadian law firm is seeking a lawyer to support its Fund Formations practice in the Toronto office. This is an existing vacancy for a candidate who thrives on responsibility, takes pride in producing client-ready work, and enjoys a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

The role involves preparing Canadian wrappers and subscription agreement supplements for private placements of foreign funds, drafting legal advice memoranda on provincial dealer, adviser and investment fund manager registration rules and extra-provincial registration requirements, and assisting with the formation of Ontario limited partnerships and related filings.

The successful candidate will also help review LPAs and side letters for institutional investors and support client intake and the maintenance of a fund precedent database.
