We are seeking experienced General Commercial lawyers to join a flexible legal resourcing platform operating within a global law firm in Sydney. This is an opportunity for seasoned consultants and contract lawyers — or lawyers considering a move to flexible working — to take on varied, high-quality engagements for the firm's clients and internal practice groups.

Engagements span a broad range of industries, including financial services, consumer and retail, energy and resources, government and public sector, construction and infrastructure, education, leisure and gaming, mining, TMT and transport. Assignments may arise at short notice and cover short-term or project-based needs such as leave cover, recruitment gaps, and specialist projects.

You will work with autonomy and pace, acting as a hands-on practitioner comfortable operating within client businesses. Strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and an excellent client-service ethic are essential to success in these roles.

Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience
Current practising certificate
Right to live and work in Australia
Strong general commercial contracting experience, including drafting and negotiating supplier and service-provider agreements
Exposure to areas such as property, technology, privacy and data, intellectual property, credit, and financing
Procurement experience highly regarded
Advice experience in competition and consumer law, privacy, product safety, quality and labelling advantageous for some roles
M&A, joint venture and business-integration experience helpful
Disputes, investigations, insolvency/debt recovery, regulatory, and employment law knowledge useful for some assignments
Ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously and prioritise effectively
Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills at all levels
Commercial and business acumen with a client-service focus
