High-quality law firm seeks an associate to join its Government Contracts practice with a focus on cybersecurity and compliance. The role is open to candidates for the Washington, D.C., Chicago, or Denver offices.

The associate will advise government contractors and commercial clients on federal cybersecurity requirements, assist in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies for contract performance, and perform audits and assessments to confirm regulatory compliance. The position involves cross-functional collaboration and preparation of reports and client-facing documentation.

  • 3–5 years' relevant experience counseling clients on government cybersecurity and compliance matters
  • Juris Doctor and membership (or eligibility for admission by waiver) in the state bar for the chosen office
  • Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills
  • Technical background preferred (e.g., computer science, IT auditing) or demonstrated experience working with technical teams
  • Certifications such as CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP), Certified Cybersecurity Practitioner (CCP), or CIPP are a plus
