A nationally prominent firm is seeking an experienced Government Contracts Senior Associate to join its Government Contracts and National Security practice groups in the Washington, DC office. This is an opportunity to work within a dynamic, growing practice at a highly regarded national platform.

The role is broad and transactional in nature, encompassing support for M&A and structured investments on the government contracts side, facility security clearance matters and FOCI analyses, and regulatory counseling across a range of issues affecting government contractors. Counseling work includes small business set-aside programs, SBIR and STTR awards, rights in technical data, software and subject inventions, and cybersecurity/CMMC compliance.

The associate will also negotiate prime contracts, subcontracts, and teaming agreements, working on a variety of short-deadline assignments while producing thoughtful, high-quality work product. The position offers significant responsibility and the chance to contribute to a growing office and practice.

Five or more years of government contracts practice experience, including meaningful transactional and counseling experience
Experience with government contracts transactional support (M&A and structured investments)
Familiarity with facility security clearances and FOCI analyses
Counseling experience in small business set-aside programs, SBIR/STTR awards, rights in technical data, software and subject inventions, and cybersecurity/CMMC compliance
Experience negotiating prime contracts, subcontracts and teaming agreements
Ability to handle varied short-deadline assignments while maintaining superior quality
Excellent writing skills and a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
