Apply in confidence →A leading national law firm is seeking Barristers and Solicitor Advocates to join its established in-house advocacy team, focusing on Personal Injury and/or Medical Negligence matters. Applications are welcome from candidates across England and Wales, with particular interest in those based outside London.
The role offers significant autonomy within a collaborative national team, with regular travel for court attendance and client-related commitments. You will handle a diverse and challenging caseload, including complex, multi-track and high-value matters, and will gain exposure to both remote and in-person advocacy. The team is supported by dedicated advocacy clerks managing paperwork and diaries.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will help deliver efficient, high-quality service to clients. Candidates should ideally be within reasonable commuting distance of a regional office, though those based elsewhere outside London may be considered depending on experience.
The firm is committed to flexible working, colleague wellbeing and professional development, and offers a comprehensive benefits package including holiday entitlement, bonus and pay review opportunities, health and wellbeing support, and pension arrangements.
- Qualified Barrister or Solicitor with higher rights of audience accreditation
- Demonstrable technical experience in Medical Negligence and/or Personal Injury law
- Strong track record handling complex multi-track and high-value cases
- Ability to undertake drafting, advisory and conference work
- Advocacy experience for either claimants or defendants
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver the best outcomes for case handlers
- Excellent communication skills for building relationships with case handlers and clients
