A globally recognized insurance coverage practice is seeking an associate with 3–5 years of significant insurance coverage experience to join its Houston office. The role may also be filled remotely by candidates based in Texas.

The successful candidate will analyze coverage, prepare coverage opinions, and litigate first- and third-party claims across multiple lines of coverage, including bad faith disputes. The position involves substantial hands-on litigation work, including taking depositions, attending court conferences, and drafting and arguing motions.

This is an opportunity to join a dedicated coverage team of more than 125 attorneys across 15 offices, handling complex matters for insurance industry clients throughout the United States and internationally. The team represents primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, insurance brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies. Practice areas include bad faith, casualty and specialty lines coverage, professional liability insurance coverage, property, and strategic risk and complex litigation.

3–5 years of significant insurance coverage experience
Experience analyzing coverage and preparing coverage opinions
Litigation experience, including depositions, court conferences, and drafting and arguing motions
Experience with first- and third-party claims across multiple lines of coverage and bad faith claims
Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
Excellent academic credentials
Texas Bar admission required
Deposition and trial experience preferred
