We are seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to join a leading global consulting platform for interim legal assignments in the UAE. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact matters across sectors, typically on six-month full-time engagements based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, with remote or hybrid options.

In this role, you will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including joint venture, distribution, shareholder, supply, procurement, and service contracts. You will advise on complex corporate structures, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance, with a strong understanding of UAE federal legislation, free zone regulations, and Sharia principles as they apply to commercial transactions.

Minimum five years' post-qualification experience in commercial law, ideally within a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.
Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiating skills across a variety of commercial contracts, including joint ventures and M&A-related agreements.
In-depth knowledge of UAE federal and free zone regulations, as well as Sharia principles relevant to commercial transactions.
Experience in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, technology, construction, financial services, or healthcare is advantageous.
Prior experience in the Middle East and fluency in Arabic are a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with multinational clients and government authorities.
A practising certificate (or equivalent) entitling you to practise law in the region.
A consultant mindset: professional, flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with the differences between interim consulting and permanent employment.
