We are seeking an associate to join a busy international trade and sanctions team in the firm’s Washington office. The role focuses on advising U.S. and multinational clients on economic sanctions, export controls, trade compliance, licensing and related regulatory matters.

Day-to-day work includes counseling on OFAC and export-control compliance, assisting with licensing requests and internal investigations, supporting transactional and supply-chain due diligence, and drafting policies and compliance programs. You will collaborate with lawyers across practices to manage complex cross-border regulatory issues.

Juris Doctor and active bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction
Experience with economic sanctions, export controls, international trade compliance, or related regulatory work
Strong legal research, drafting and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters, work collaboratively on cross-practice teams, and interact with clients
