IP Litigation Associate Attorney — Patent Litigation (Washington, D.C.)

An Am Law 50 full-service law firm is seeking a patent litigation associate with 2–6 years of experience to join its nationally recognized Intellectual Property Practice Group in its Washington, D.C. office. The role supports a cross-office team and works closely with colleagues across the firm's national high-tech patent litigation practice.

The firm's IP group is a recognized leader in protecting and maximizing intellectual property rights, with more than 140 IP attorneys worldwide. The patent litigation practice handles sophisticated matters for leading technology companies — from semiconductor innovators and streaming platforms to high-growth startups — in a collaborative environment offering meaningful mentorship and real responsibility.

Associates gain hands-on experience in district court litigation and strategic licensing negotiations, building a high-tech patent litigation career.

• 2–6 years of patent litigation experience
• Meaningful involvement in litigation fundamentals such as motion practice, discovery, and case strategy
• Strong academic credentials and a technical background; degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, or physics preferred
