Typical matters include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, conducting prior-art and clearance analyses, responding to USPTO office actions, supporting due diligence and post-grant proceedings, and translating complex technical subject matter into clear patent disclosures.

JD from an accredited law school with strong academic record
Registered and in good standing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
Admission or eligibility to admit in the state where role is based
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (electrical engineering drafting experience preferred)
2–4 years of patent prosecution experience, preferably at a law firm or IP boutique
Experience drafting specifications, claims, and prosecution responses across mechanical and electrical subject matter
Strong written/verbal communication, docket management, and attention to detail
Familiarity with wireless device hardware (smartphones, tablets, wearables) and freedom-to-operate/clearance work is a plus
