We are seeking a junior associate (0–5 years PQE) to join a leading Scottish healthcare litigation team. The role involves managing a mixed caseload of clinical negligence and abuse claims, with the opportunity to take a lead in a growing and developing area of law.

You will work with major indemnifiers and insurers, as well as directly with healthcare professionals, local authorities and charities. The team brings together lawyers specialising in litigation, regulatory and disciplinary hearings, and public inquiries, drawing on expertise from across a broad international network to deliver an integrated service to clients.

The position can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, involves regular client communication, and sits within a collaborative, supportive team in a modern, flexible working environment. Qualified solicitor, NQ – 5 years PQE (guide only; all suitable candidates considered)
Litigation experience, preferably in personal injury
Prior clinical negligence or abuse claims experience an advantage but not essential
Determined, adaptable and comfortable in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Confident and effective communicator with a strong client-service focus
Enjoys complex legal issues and expanding knowledge
Able to comply with client SLAs and MI requirements
