A leading international law firm is seeking a junior lawyer (V.I.E. or junior associate) to join its International Trade & Regulation team in Brussels.

The role involves advising clients — including corporates, associations, and public authorities — on the rules governing economic relations between Europe and the rest of the world. This spans both trade-policy instruments (trade defence, import restrictions, carbon border mechanisms, customs origin and classification, international sanctions) and EU-internal regulatory tools with an external dimension (foreign subsidies, public procurement, anti-coercion, forced labour, deforestation).

Ideal candidates bring strong academic credentials, relevant internship experience, and the drive to work in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

  • Member of a bar (or in the process of qualifying)
  • Master 2, LL.M., or equivalent with a specialisation in International Trade
  • At least one significant internship of six months or more (law firm, European Commission, WTO, government, etc.)
  • Fluent French and perfect command of English; other languages an asset
  • Dual background (e.g. law plus business school, public affairs, foreign university) advantageous
  • Dynamic, committed, rigorous, responsible, open-minded, and a team player
