A leading law firm's Labor and Employment Group is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–4 years of law firm experience to join its New York office. The team advises and represents employers across the full spectrum of labor and employment law, including workplace counseling, litigation, traditional labor relations, regulatory compliance, and training.

This role offers the chance to work on challenging matters in a collaborative environment alongside experienced practitioners who are invested in your professional growth. Candidates should have experience in both employment litigation and counseling, a strong academic record, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Prior matter experience should include litigating anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour cases; restrictive covenant advice, including non-disclosure, non-competition, and non-solicitation agreements; internal investigations of alleged workplace misconduct; and related employment policy drafting, such as employee handbooks and offer letters.

The firm provides competitive compensation and benefits, comprehensive professional development, and hands-on mentoring from senior practitioners. Interested candidates should submit a resume, law school transcripts, and a brief cover letter.

  • 3–4 years of labor and employment experience in a law firm setting
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to, and good standing with, the relevant jurisdiction's bar
  • Experience in employment litigation and counseling
  • Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Superior organizational abilities and an outstanding academic record
  • Experience with traditional labor matters such as collective bargaining and union member arbitration is a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, practical problem-solving, and readiness to take the lead on depositions, hearings, and mediations
  • A track record of providing business-oriented, strategic advice to clients is highly desired
