Labor & Employment Associate – Milwaukee or Madison

Our client, a prominent national law firm, is seeking a highly motivated 3rd-4th year associate (Class of 2022-2023) to join their nationally recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group in their Milwaukee or Madison office.

Qualified candidates will have experience with employment litigation (including discrimination and wage and hour litigation), advice and counseling, OSHA, traditional labor matters, and other day-to-day employment issues. Strong legal writing skills and experience with discovery, motion practice, and researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings are required. Experience with restrictive covenants, including expedited relief and related litigation, and discovery and trial preparation in both state and federal courts, as well as participation in settlement conferences and negotiations, is preferred. Experience with deal due diligence is also preferred.

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school
• Active membership and good standing with the Wisconsin Bar
• 3rd-4th year associate experience (Class of 2022-2023)
• Experience in employment litigation, including discrimination and wage and hour matters
• Experience with advice and counseling, OSHA, and traditional labor matters
• Strong legal writing, discovery, motion practice, and drafting skills
• Preferred: Experience with restrictive covenants, expedited relief, trial preparation in state and federal courts, settlement negotiations, and deal due diligence
• Top academics and demonstrated client relationship and business development skills
