A highly regarded law firm is seeking a mid-level Labor & Employment associate to join its Chicago office. This is a broad, hands-on role spanning employment litigation and client-side counseling for employers.

The associate will manage and coordinate matters in Illinois state and federal courts, and will regularly counsel clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Drafting work includes employment agreements, workplace policies, and employee handbooks, alongside assisting with investigations into employment-related disputes. Candidates should bring strong case management, research, and writing skills.

At least three years of employment litigation experience
Admission to the Illinois Bar
Experience managing matters in Illinois state and federal courts
Strong case management, legal research, and writing skills
Experience counseling on federal, state, and local employment law compliance
Experience drafting employment agreements, policies, and handbooks
Experience assisting with employment-related investigations
