Life Sciences Licensing Associate — Silicon Valley

Mid-level associate position in a life sciences-focused intellectual property group based in Silicon Valley. The role focuses on licensing and technology-transaction work supporting biotechnology and related life-science clients.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating IP licenses (patent and trademark), joint development and collaboration agreements, technology and services agreements (including SaaS), distribution agreements, and conducting IP and technology-transaction due diligence in corporate transactions and technology transfers. The team environment is collaborative, with opportunities to manage substantial components of transactions independently.

• 3-4 years post-qualification experience in IP licensing, technology transfer, or technology transactions
• Experience drafting and negotiating patent and trademark licenses, collaboration/joint-development agreements, technology/services (including SaaS) and distribution agreements
• Experience performing IP and technology-transaction due diligence for corporate transactions and technology transfers
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to manage substantial transaction components independently; excellent written and verbal communication
• Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
