Apply in confidence →We are recruiting an ambitious and personable mid-level associate to join our leading Litigation and Arbitration team in London. This is a permanent, full-time role within our Dispute Resolution practice, focused on commercial litigation and arbitration.
The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload of complex, often cross-border disputes, and will be involved in all aspects of litigation and arbitration work, including case management, drafting key documents, and supporting business development initiatives.
The Team
Our team represents a wide variety of businesses, financial institutions and government agencies. We act in contractual disputes and are known for our work in public international law, international arbitration (investment treaty and commercial), financial services, art and cultural property, equity and fraud, reputation management, insolvency, international trusts and enforcement. We have particular expertise in European litigation procedures, including bridging civil law and common law jurisdictions.
The Role
- Managing a diverse caseload of commercial litigation and arbitration matters
- Assisting on a broad range of cases, including complex and cross-border disputes
- Drafting, reviewing and amending key documents, including witness statements, pleadings, submissions and client briefings
- Assisting with fee estimates, pitches and business development initiatives
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Key Skills and Experience
- Qualified solicitor admitted in England & Wales
- Approximately 3–4 years' post-qualification experience
- Excellent written communication and drafting skills, with the ability to work independently
- Strong interest in complex, cross-border and international disputes
- Experience with large and complex matters while managing a varied caseload
- Proven business development and client relationship management skills
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented and well-organised, with strong project management capabilities
- Solid grounding in commercial litigation; experience in insolvency, fraud or commercial arbitration is highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work collaboratively
- Fluency in an additional language is advantageous
Essentials
- Standard working hours 9:30am–5:30pm, with flexibility required
- Hybrid working (minimum 2–3 days per week in the office)
