An Am Law 100 full-service firm is seeking an associate attorney to join its nationally recognized healthcare and medical malpractice practice in Dallas. The group represents hospitals, physicians, nurses, technicians, therapists, counselors, pharmacists, dentists, podiatrists, clinics, nursing homes, and other providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.

The role involves defending medical malpractice actions across a range of specialties, including obstetrics, emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, general practice, pulmonary medicine, nursing, orthopedics, neurology, oncology, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, genetic testing, radiology, dentistry, and podiatry. The practice is among the largest in the country, with more than 200 attorneys dedicated to healthcare matters.

This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to take a meaningful role in all aspects of litigation while working as part of a collaborative team.

Admitted to practice in Texas
2–7 years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings
Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits preferred
Comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions
Strong writing and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
